Chicago Bulls Free Agent Targets:
1: Bismack Biyombo
2: Frank Kaminksy
3: Wenyen Gabriel

Bleacher Report on the most underrated player in the NBA G Alex Caruso:
Consider the mystery of last year’s Chicago Bulls, who somehow finished with the No. 5 defense despite starting notable sieves Nikola Vucević, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. The Bulls managed that feat largely because they held opponents to 106.5 points per 100 possessions when Caruso was on the floor. When he sat, that number leapt to 112.5. With steal rates in or above the 90th percentile five years running (and even a 98th percentile block rate last year!) and the most deflections per 36 minutes in the league (among players with at least 1,000 minutes played), Caruso causes more trouble than most defenders—at any position. Lastly, he finished first in the entire NBA in Defensive Estimated Plus/Minus in 2022-23. And yet if quizzed on the league’s best defenders, most fans would list 10 or 15 names before getting to Caruso’s.

  1. We don't need any undersized front court players. 6'10" and up is a necessity. Preferably one that actually has post moves and isn't living on the goddamn perimeter

  2. I think you're stuck in the 1990's in regards to your assessment of TODAY'S NBA starting power forwards.

Patrick Williams is 6'8, 225 pounds (he's NO LONGER 6'7, 215 like he was listed as a 19 year rookie)

Here are many of the power forwards in today's nba that start or get significant minutes.

*Jayson Tatum 6'8 essential starts at the 4 spot for boston
    *Dorian Finney Smith 6'7
    *John Collins 6'8
    *P.J. Washington 6'7
*Miles Bridges will start at the 4 spot for the Hornets at 6'7
    *Bojan Bogdanovic 6'7
    *PJ Tucker 6'5
*Grant Williams is 6'6 and will probably start for Dallas
*Denver won a title with 6'8 Aaron Gordon
    *DRAYMOND GREEN is 6'6
    *Nicolas Batum 6'8
    *Rui Hachimura 6'8
    *Jared Vanderbilt 6'8
    *Zion Williamson 6'6
    *Larry Nance Jr 6'8
    *Jerami Grant 6'8
    *keegan Murray 6'8
    *Jeremy Sochan 6'8

Only a few teams start power forwards 6'10 or taller.

Just something to think about in regards to the CURRENT situation of TODAY'S nba power forwards.

  3. I feel like many of you comment without understanding how the game has changed. Only ONE team has a TRADITIONAL power forward and that's Evan Mobley. And he will need to eventually improve his range as a shooter going forward.

NO he doesn't need to take 6-8 three point shots a game, but expansion of his perimeter shooting will open up the lane for him as a slasher and for his teammates. The lane will remain clogged if he cannot make timely 3pt shots as Jared Allen has NO CHANCE of spacing the floor.

Even draymond Green at some point was a SOLID 3pt shooter at the peak of his game.

Stop thinking you're going to see a return of Robert Parrish and Kevin McHale in THIS NBA. There's a happy medium between the power forwards of the 90's vs the one's today who only shoot 3's
