It’s hilarious that Jaylen of all people keep saying that.

How about YOU play some better defense? Your offball defense is really bad quite often. Talk less, play better.

Jaylen stans already in full effect downvoting facts.

I know Jaylen’s dogshit at it but idk why people act like off-ball defense is easy. It’s not easy be constantly aware of your space and players around you, especially when he’s normally guarding a top scorer. It’s not like its an effort thing that he’s bad at it.

One of the things that’s resonated with me from the Smart trade was that he was probably the 4th or 5th best player on the team, and he somehow was the leader.

Brad mentioned that the Jay’s needed the opportunity to step up. I hope we get to see these guys follow it up.

What was their defensive identity last season with Smart?

Good luck. Joe doesn’t emphasize defense. Defense dropped off a lot with the change in coaching.

    Good start…

    Identify a need…

Now execute on resolving it… Including others to help is a step in leadership greatly needed…

  8. there’s a big shift in fandom from hating rival teams for no rational reason to hating your own team, players, management, for no rational reason. 🤣

everyone is an expert and knows what’s best and it’s never what the team or mgmt or players are doing so the screaming online and screaming at the tv never stops 🤣.

it’s an entertainment product. when it stops being entertaining to you and you hate it, just find something else that brings joy. 🤣

    ppl are weird.

i remember all the hate Scal used to get and he wasn’t even a starter. did the Scallenge on WEEI? WBCN? can’t remember. 1:1 challenge with all comers. it wasn’t even a contest. street ballers, college athletes made to look foolish.

JB dribbles left better than 99.9% of the people in the world and celtics fans are out of their living minds upset 🤣. it’s a human factor sport but everyone expects perfection in every aspect and you’re shit if you make any mistakes.

not sure how anyone lives up to fan expectations in 2023. ppl just relentless can’t see the forest for the trees. insatiable in digging for stats that prove their criticism. how is that enjoyable? what do ppl get out of all that energy and effort spent?

ppl love to hate and hate to love.
ppl need more happiness in their lives it would seem.

    🍀

MF leader JB got me catching feelings!

This the shit the Celtics need!

Hopefully we see Jaylen work on his off-ball D and not just gamble for steals
