Can’t wait to start the damn season.
Just a healthy squad on regular + post-season is all I could ask for
idk after all the Grant podcasts/interviews, its obvious that the coaching change made the team an offensive focused team and not defensive. I feel like Ime brought a lot of the defensive identity and that we have lost it with him being gone.
People are gonna hate on this truth Grant said it himself. Only thing i can see that could change this is if the new assistant coaches help with the defensive identity but i doubt it (Ime was honnestly a very very good fit).
People love to talk about how Jaylen needs to improve his dribbling and playmaking, but I honestly don’t know if that’s the answer.
Changing how we use him on offense to focus on finishing plays, while Jaylen takes a step up on his role on defense seems like a better path forward.
Mazzulla seems like offense will always be on the front of his mind, so having Jaylen keep defense as a goal of his is reassuring and exciting. Defense without Marcus is going to be weird
Well jaylen is gonna have to be that guy. He has all the tools to be an elite defender, and now will carry less of an offensive burden. I want him to be a hyper efficient 3rd option in the half court, lead the fast break charges that he’s elite at, and be a game changing defender who checks the other teams best player. If that happens I like our odds.
