Too bad Dame didn't have a no trade clause in his contract, if not he would have been closing on a home here in Miami.
I hope the Heat end up trading for Lillard without trading Herro.
I think Miami should consider trading for Kevin Porter Jr
All the leverage is on the Blazers side. Miami is in a very limited contention window right now. The moves they've made a lateral at best and without Dame they won't be a true contender. That's why Blazer media wants this done now vs later. Blazers can do just like the Pelicans did with Lakers and wait until they get a deal thats good for them. Now look at the Pelicans they have draft capital for years to come on top that they have young talent. All this other stuff you talk about means nothing; future FA or Dame coming out and speaking. Meaningless. People knew the Pels organization was bad but McCullom resigned after being traded there. Its Dame's word vs the organization everyone has a point of view. What matters is whats on paper in this case a 4 year contract. I'm not even saying that the Blazers didn't do him wrong I'm saying understanding that bridge is burned now move forward and do what's best for your organizations. News Flash a undermarket deal isn't what's best for an organization. If Scoot and Sharpe are successful winning cures a lot of things. People have very short memories when it comes to winning and money. Ask your team about that. Just sayin
