  1. well…
then may your swing be clean and your ball stay clear of the rough, Good Ser…
and we expect your return as we expect the league's.. with anticipation.. have a good one Old man…

  2. If LeBron had gone to Europe for a lot more money than he had here, and won 15 titles in the league, he wouldn't be looked at the 1st, 2nd or 3rd best player in the history of the game. That's what Mbappe is facing right bow

  3. Very shortsighted to expect revenue to continue to increase. When the next recession comes (Remember we have a cyclical economy) revenue will be stagnant in a moderate economic downturn like the mid 90s , or probably decrease with a hard recession like in the 70s. Wise players should try to get the longest term contracts possible $$$.

  4. There’s a simple fix to the super max and trade demands issue that would also bring back unrestricted FA more. The super max doesn’t remotely work as intended now for teams to be able to keep their stars, the players sign the extension and then ask out, AND often make more money for doing so with a trade kicker. That’s just stupid.

What the super max should be is when a player signs it, they automatically have a no trade clause. However, it should also have a clause that if the player demands a trade then their salary reverts to what the non-super max max contract would be. That way teams can still keep their guys with the extra money, the no trade ensures that the team can’t just screw the player, and the clause about demanding a trade prevents the BS we see now where guys sign their huge deal just to immediately demand a trade somewhere else

  5. The owners really took them this time. It’s the same bag of money no matter what for the owners, but this is really creating dissension among the players. Every team is gonna have two guys making $60 million and 13 guys making two.

  6. Im confused, lebron had already left cleveland before 2016, but then came back, so then who cares if cleveland had drafted him if hed already left

  7. JJ, can you have a podcast with Sean Kilpatrick?

He scored 38 points on your Clippers one day but spent most of his career in Europe.

success stories are great, but sometimes it's more valuable to learn on others mistakes.

P.S. there is also Andrew 'miniMamba' Goudelock, played with Lakers & Bryant. Hell of a shooter! 20 points in Playoffs vs Spurs! Out of the League too..

  8. JJ's missing a massive point about athletes taking Saudi money, the difference is that US athletes aren't receiving money directly from the US government and aren't being expected to promote and launder the reputation of the country they're working in. Sport in Saudi Arabia isn't independent from the Saudi regime and so any comparisons to being an athlete in America are way off.

  9. Yall gotta get JJ Barea, Raymond Felton and Deron Williams on the show and talk about being on the same team and all sharing the same birthday 😂😂😂

  10. The nets couldnt build around, james harden, kevin durant, kyrie irving?! Come on they had ben simmons there, they easily should have won it all.

  11. LeBron and Steph are underpaid so everyone else can get more = fine.
    But that's not the case.
It's "So 20 players, about 11th to 30th best can earn more. Has no impact on 100th, 450th".
It benefits Beal, Wall, Ingram. Never top 10 but embarrassingly can use the word "max" players.

  12. I would love Siakam on the Hawks… if they could somehow get Gary Trent Jr, I think the Hawks would be a 50 win team

  13. Not sure what other podcast to listen to during the break. This show speed things up for me when I’m doing shooting drills before and after games, and in practice sometimes — really gets you to focus on the specific part of the rim when aiming.

  14. Bro Reddick you was on my fav team back in tha day, Cp3, BG, Crawford and Jordan. I stg yall should’ve won the playoffs🤧 Keep it up big man

  15. franz is a good pick but i think markelle fultz could be just as impactful as franz next yr

  16. What if……durant didnt bandwagon, would the warriors still have won, obviously yes, but what if he went elsewhere would he have got rings?

  17. Keegan Murray episode please. I think you'd get better responses from him than most. And I love when 2 shooters chat.

  18. WHAT IF: Prior to the 1984 draft the Rockets agree to the confirmed trade offer of Drexler and the Blazers #1 pick for Ralph Sampson. Carrol Dawson (Rockets) has said that pick would have been Jordan. So now the mid 80's to mid 90's Rockets has Drexler, Dream and Jordan. Who beats that team?
