Why More NBA Players Should Follow Kemba’s Example

4x NBA All-Star Kemba Walker is joining EuroLeague’s side AS Monaco. Injuries have cost him his NBA career, but the point guard has chosen a path that many American players avoid – signing in Europe. BasketNews’ Augustas Suliauskas analyzes why Kemba made the right move to live and hoop in Monaco & why more borderline NBA players should try it.

  2. happy for him — for sure he will get some great time and respect and maybe even better or well again …best of luke

  3. Wait a bit please. Let's him play on those defences with out knees.

  4. MCW
    Willie Cauley Stein
    Derrick favors
    Jarrett Culver
    Stanley Johnson
    Austin Rivers
    Kendrick Nunn
    Eric Paschall
    Kelly Oubre
    Juan Toscano Anderson
    John wall
    TJ warren
    Tristan Thompson
    Justise Winslow
    Christian Wood.
Lot more but damn these guys might be heading for retirement but I think they’d be able to cook in Europe.

  5. The biggest reason loads of celebrities live in Monaco is because of taxes, or lack thereof.

  6. so he did it for the same reason most F1 racers have residence in Monaco? so he can take advantage of the low tax rate, and live in the 'tax haven' that is Monaco

  7. all kenba has ever played is iso NBA ball, i dont know weather or not he can translate well to pass first euroball

  8. 11:11 mr. Bob McAdoo 34.5 ppg. He played for Milano in the late 80ies and he was probably the second best basketball player in the 70ies.

  9. if there is one place i would go play in eu its definetly monaco, americans love america but i wouldnt ever pass up a chance to live in monaco, i could even catch a GP

  10. More players need to consider and based on there popularity pay will come easier. You will get play time which is crucial so you can get back in the groove.

  11. Those arenas packed with all dudes that never stfu and light shit on fire don't have the appeal you seem to think they have.

  12. Monaco itself is not a nice place to live. There is basically no space, pretty much only residential properties. The surrounding area in France is nice though.

  13. Lol Kemba Gon Dominate Those Chumps In The Euro League He Just Came From Playing In The NBA The Highest Level A Basketball Player Can Experience Where Those Eur0 Chumps Can’t Make It To😭

  14. While I do agree that more players on the other side of 30 or struggling to get meaningful minutes in the NBA should give Euro league play a go, pride is what holds them back from taking that chance. Even if Kembo is limited, him being able to get 10-12 points a game would be huge considering his health and decline.

  15. Ik it sounds crazy and probably will never happen, but Draymond Green before he retires should try 2 or 3 seasons in the Euroleague.

  16. It's almost like Dwight going to play in Asia. Dude is living the life over there.

  17. talking about declining starts, i would suggest Kevin Durant, Lebron James 😀

  18. Some guys even though you look at them like big nba stars they aren't that open-minded or worldly. The thought of going to another country at a later stage in life is intimidating. Others genuinely don't want to put their families through that big of a move.
