Edit: Ok actually nvm. In the video Shams says it’s the league telling Dame and his agent to stop telling everyone that he only wants to play for one team or he’ll get disciplined. Also informing the NBPA that anyone doing this rhetoric may be subject to discipline. Adam Silver essentially saying “keep switching teams… running from the grind. You boys is chumps.”

I’m part of the heat fanbase that wants Dame to go somewhere else if that’s what it takes for this offseason to move on. Free agency literally stopped once this drama started. I hope this memo opens the door for everyone to start calling Portland and get their coveted offers.

Happy to see the NBA stepping up to these players and their demands. Players need to understand they’re getting paid up to $60 million a year to play a game, and that they’re essentially property of a team. The who logic of a player signing with one team because it’ll pay them the most, then asking their way out has got to end. I hate for it to be brought up with Lillard of all players who’ve done it in the past, but specifically asking to be traded to one/two teams is just bullshit. If you don’t want to be traded, then put yourself in a position and get a no trade clause in your contract.
