Tim Duncan being productive on those bad knees at that age is so amazing. I’m pretty sure he said it was like bone on bone at that point, maybe I’m wrong.
As a spurs fan, that 2016 series haunts me almost as much as any other series. Game 2 and 5 were the worst officiated games I have ever seen. Game 5 Steven Adams shoves Danny Green into KD who is shooting a middy and Green falls into KD and they call the foul on Green. That call blew game 5 for the Spurs.
This was crazy, but I remember at the time stating that the Thunder would beat them just because they were too talented. The Thunder should have went to the Finals that year frfr.
The fact that where nearly 2 70 win teams in one season is ridiculous. The first ever NBA game I went to was the Spurs @ Grizzlies on December 3rd, 2015 and the way they excelled at playing team basketball was impeccable. If GS didn’t exist then they probably win the championship if Cleveland doesn’t.
this team was great but not under-rated, at the time I expected them to be great because its the Spurs but they very much disappointed in the playoffs, their defense fell off and they couldn't rebound at all especially against the Thunder , the Thunder was simply better than them in the series
I never knew they were this good of course I was not watching the nba regularly back then but still I feel like everyone should of know about this team.
I was talking about this the other day with my brother. Seriously an underrated team. Big 3 in their late 30s, prime Kawhi, and prime Aldridge. During this season I kept saying I think the spurs could make the finals.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Serge Ibaka, specifically regarding the best version of him. Was he better when he was rebounding and dunking more, or when he expanded his game and started taking more jumpers? I kinda always felt that the further he moved away from the basket, the worse he got, and he wouldn't have had to if they'd just played him at center more
12:00 Damn, Charles Barkley was right about San Antonio!
I remember this year very well and how shocked all basketball fans were that 5 games before the end of the season, as we were all talking about the Warriors tying or beating the Bulls record… they were not even sure to finish with the first seed! The West was so good that year, to me it always kind of puts in perspective the ring that LeBron got and that a lot of his fans say was one of the greatest ever. The East was really weak in those years, almost as weak as in the early 2000s.
I remember being the Spurs being so good and not getting a lot of attention because it was the Curry coming out party & Golden State Victory Lap that year

This team and the 2013-2014 spurs just purest forms of hoops
Spurs were dynomite in 2016. Great video
Hey how are ya? Wonderful weather we're having.
This team really got ended by a dude name zaza
Was going to make a breakdown on this team😂 you beat me to it👍 Great video so far
By far one of the most underrated rosters i’ve seen
I’m a spurs fan and I’m so glad you giving this team appreciation…the ball movement was absurd. I love how pop has always evolved as a coach
This is the team that made me get into basketball in the first place. All time great squad!

I think the actual underated team this year was the Thunder

The fact that no one averaged more than 22 and they were barely playing 30 minutes is absolutely nuts
I don’t think we will never see a 67 win team being the 2nd see ever again
Do a video on the collapse of the 2006-07 Mavericks and how they were dominating in the regular season but disappointed in the playoff heavily.
I will never forgive Zaza. Man deserves to be put in prison for his actions against humanity.
I liked this during the beginning ad cause FACTS

That 67-15 Spurs team was absolutely dominant

Anyone who considers that the greatest season of all time, doesn't know $[=]!+ about the NBAs history😂
I remember the Michael Jordan 10 day contract memes when the spurs almost caught the dubs

Why celebrate 3rd place?
I remember watching the espn highlights and they’d say how impressive 67 wins is and then it’d cut to warriors. 67 as a 2nd seed is nuts 😂
