Lillard has never publicly said he wants to be traded to the Heat. But the league can fine him as much as $150,000 if he decides to say that publicly, and the NBA has now threatened to do so. That may be why there has been no Lillard interview applying pressure on the Blazers.

Heat Reddit should come together and agree to Go Fund Me that fine money if Dame does the public interview. I’d pay a couple bucks just to enjoy that chaos, regardless if we get him or not.

At what point if you’re Lillard do you PRIVATELY tell Joe Cronin you are a bitch for ratting out to the NBA league office

It’s not so much the fine that I’m worried about because that’s pennies to him, but the fact that now other teams are gonna see that “Goodwin and Lillard affirmed to us that Lillard would fully perform the services called for under his player contract in any trade scenario” statement and think “Oh okay we can try to trade for him now”.

I hope Pat releases a nice memo when Cronin gets fired for running the Blazers into the ground

Cronin making sure he burns all bridges with their greatest player ever before he comes to the Heat

I really think Pat should just give up whatever is necessary to get this done. Jimmy, Bam and Dame is gonna be lethal. If they keep Caleb, even better but everybody outside of those 3 can be replaced

His agent said publicly that he called teams and told them Dame would not play for them. This is mostly his agents fault.

Dame’s agent went hard in the paint. Looks like too hard. Now he’s backtracking. I don’t look at this a negative though because everyone knows he only wants to play for Miami. If he agent didn’t come out guns ablazin then numerous other teams would be much more seriously involved. He got what he wanted out of the situation. Now the rest of the situation is out of Dame’s and Goodwin’s hands and they can just sit and wait and see how everything plays out.
