How Good Would a Prime Ceballos Be in Today’s Game?

I feel he’s one of the forgotten stars of the Lakers especially when they weren’t that great in the mid 90’s. Who do you feel plays most like him in today’s NBA?

I loved ceballos. He also netted us Horry.

In todays game 🤔. Very good rebounding SF. Possibly a small ball but bad defensive PF

I’d put him in the Mikal Bridges /Jerami Grant category. So slightly above average SF

High volume shooter , no defense. Low IQ.

  3. Man one of my fav players growing up in the 90’s. He was crafty around the basket and deadly in transition. I wish they kept that 96 team together longer. That team was fun to watch, I wasn’t sure if it was championship caliber team. But man they were fun to watch.

Ceballos was great because he could score a lot of points without the team really setting him up on offense. He was opportunistic and had quick re-jumping ability, would have twenty points just by being in the right spot and having quick reactions. I’d categorize him similar to Kuzma in that sense, although Ceballos played closer to the basket.

    Club Ced!

This crazy MF earned the nickname after he dissapeared without a trace in the middle of the season. People called the news stations to let them know he was in Havasu on his boat partying 🤣

Hence, his nickname-a play on the popular vacation company ‘Club Med’

Took pics with people while faded and was promptly traded for Horry afterward. I was fucking ecstatic as I had watched Horry closely when he was with the Rockets and knew he was a fucking stud. Was happy to be proven right.

Read Jeff Pearlman’s book on the Lakers. Cedric was a headcase who always thought he was better than he actually was. He’d be a perfect fit on the Wizards or Hornets or someone like that today.

I was sad when we traded him for Horry as a kid.
