@Portland Trail Blazers

This man would rather do his job by putting Portland in the best possible position, than get fleeced, fired, and make the team worse.

Checks out.

honestly that place is the same as a psych ward to me, Miami fans live in a completely different reality

He needed to either surround Dame with players that could compete or trade Dame. Once he knew he was going to draft Scoot he should have been taking calls and figuring out the market for Dame. Instead he drafted scoot and doesn’t want to trade Dame which is stupid. We have too many guards no size and we should go young. Him saying we are committed to winning with Dame and building a team around him to compete and doing the exact opposite is just stupid.

  3. Nerdkill789

This man also told Dame for 2 years that they were going to retool around him only to stand pat the whole way through. Same snake oil salesman as the previous GM, just dressed up in a nice guy outfit.

    Here come the downvotes lol

    Bunch of entitled little babies.

  5. CortezAllenAMA

where’s castro when you need him

  6. iabeytorm

Even the way they frame it sounds like Cronin was the victim of a crime

Time for heat fans to COPE. Wonder what they’re gonna do with all those neat photoshops of Dame. Embarrassing man.

Dame shouldn’t have signed that contract then! It’s on Dame for signing the contract he did when it was obvious that a small market team like the blazers needs him to take a pay cut in order to be able to get a second star. Dame took a giant Supermax, investing in himself over the team. Now he wants out but creating the value to trade for him is nearly impossible for other teams that are interested. It’s on him for not seeing this coming and handling this poorly

I think I know how to stop the trade requests. However, NBAPA would never allow it

Rule: Any player (and agent by proxy) that is under contract with one or more years remaining, that makes a public trade request will have all remaining contract years converted to non-guaranteed team options.

I feel like this would completely eliminate trade requests.

All he’s done is make the team worse.

  11. Same people crying “stay in your own sub” continuously posts Heat sub posts and discussions.

  12. “Florida Man” comes in many forms, this may be my least favorite as I am not entertained

  13. LoudSector3731

well he got fleeced in previous trades . He should have already got fired!

  14. MookieV

“This is only happening because he said Miami” is such a insane idea, yet they believe this *fervently*, it’s wild. 👌🏾

  15. Important-Shallot131

Still treating him better then ya’ all treated Wade.

  16. Santaconartist

Ask bill simmons if he’s the greatest blazer of all time!

Their fan base is melting down… I love this. They are so mad. They had no leverage. Their offer was shit. Dame’s agent was shit. And we didn’t buckle. The sense of entitlement is ridiculous.

  18. housington-the-3rd

Franchise’s greatest player is a stretch, Drexler and Walton need some consideration.

    1. This assumes Portland complained. They may have, or they may not have, but the league doesn’t have blinders on. They read the same columns and monitor the same social media as everyone else. The league also tends to do what the league wants to do. I hardly think Portland’s GM or owner has that much pull.

    2. Portland is under no obligation to give Dame what he wants for a lowball price, nor should they. It’s the kind of sentiment that wreaks of entitlement. If Dame demanded a trade to Boston, I doubt Heat fan would be so invested in seeing Dame get traded to his preferred destination.

  20. thegabrieldavid

Miami fans think they can get Dame for a pack of Pall Malls, a Diet Coke, and a microwaveable thing of chicken-flavored Ramen

  21. rollingdown23

heat fans: why would a gm act in best interest of their franchise?!

  22. LGGLORYBOY

Florida is the most cancerous place in the world that’s why that shit is sinking

  23. TacomaPowers

I really think Cronin tried but his inexperience failed any trade of the #3 pick. Which really is not his fault, not sure what you do with the #3 if no one is biting.

  24. AccaDecca09

If that’s the narrative you think is happening, then I feel bad for you and your offspring.

  25. ExternalJournalist75

You have to remember that some of these Miami fans are also Florida man
