Ceiling talk is very weird because so many intangible things need to be done in order to really attain any projected ceiling, it’s just weird and not really something worth giving any mental power to! Nobody knows there all very different it’s not really something that is objectively possible imo.

C Wood could be, to a lesser extent, our modern day Sheed. A talented big who can space the floor, with previous character issues who came to a team with character guys, and flourished.
We would have to let go of Wiseman and Bagley to get this Christian Woods. The same with Drummond.
Its his attitude in houston he stagged a mutiny. And he left because the rockets offered more money. He also said he wanted to play for a winner. But went to houston. Woods is held back by himself he could be our stretch 4. This makes that Marvin Bagley signing even more bad. Woods is still interesting to me another problem is his P&R defense. But he has skills that will open up opportunities for us.
Identifying the highest ceiling between Ivey, Thompson, and Duren is a difficult choice. But, my gut is telling me because of his ties to the area, Ivey would be the correct guest. 😆
Just asking as we keep hearing how good our locker room is, but who would you consider to be the leader(s) of this team?
Christian Wood is clearly a very good player, at least on offense; standard stats, advanced stats, and the eye test all agree on that much. And yet, he's played 8 seasons in the league and is already desperately looking for an 8th team to give him a chance. "Bad attitude" does not adequately describe the kind of character issues that must be there for that to happen.
The “locker room issues” in Houston are so overblown. There were 3 guys that weren’t happy & they’re all no longer on the team (Wood, Wall, Eric Gordon).
That said, C-Wood would be awful for the Pistons. I’m already questioning Detroit’s defense this year, you really want to make that worse by adding Wood?
With that skill set he should be coveted….Pistons didn't re-sign him before. Want no parts of him because clearly he has an attitude issue and doesn't work on what he needs to improve. No thanks…

No. The pistons need to 1) trade/waive Bagwell and 2) pick up Drummond so he can vet for Duren / wiseman. Before yall trip. Go look at those Drummond pick up games Ku mentioned. He was ballin and he was awesome with Cade.

As far as ceiling , I' ll go with combination of smarts and talent. So, Ausar, Duren, Ivey. Not saying Ivey is dumb. Just the other two just seem exceptionally smart, and Ausar's situational awareness might rival Cade's
Honestly he would be a better fit on the court with duren than Stewart ,wiseman,or bagley just because of that jumpshot

As a die hard Rockets fan, Ku, I can tell u Wood is a diva. He’s not coachable and he believes he believes he’s the best player on your team. Dodge that bullet as fast as u can, Ku. It’s not worth it

Christian Wood is the missing piece for the Pistons starting 5, why get all high character guys if u can't handle 1 bad apple? Highest ceiling ranking: Ausar, Ivey, Duren but Ivey is most likely to achieve his ceiling. Bring Drummond home! Great backup big for Duren. Trade Bogey and Bagley for Drummond and Wood. Gotta move Wiseman too…
We see alike on Wood and Dre. I think our locker room and coaching staff is strong enough . My young Pistons are mature and all about business. I like Drummond too for a veteran leader and to retire a Piston.
My problem with wood is he is not loyal. We were the fist team to give him a real chance. He went undrafted and was parked at the end of a bench or in the g league. We seen his potential. He left on the first thing smoking man. Always left a bad taste in my mouth.
I'd rather have christian wood on the team than how it's currently constructed. I don't think stewart is a starting caliber four.

Monty wouldn't even be here if not for a diva/head case big( Ayton) so why would you risk bringing the same situation to the pistons?? I can't imagine that our new coach wants this same situation to repeat itself.
We need to bring in great character guys that are good in the locker room, wants to play in Detroit, and can ball. We have to build a great culture for success like the Lions are trying to do. I think Ausar has potential that could be close to Cade, but a better 2 way player than Cade. I honestly think Ausar will be the heart, and soul of the Pistons with how he plays.
