The Miami Heat have been in talks with veteran guard Goran Dragic for a potential return to the team during the offseason. Dragic has expressed his interest in finishing his career with the Heat, as he had some of the best seasons of his NBA career in Miami.
During the previous season, he played for the Chicago Bulls and later joined the Milwaukee Bucks, but the Heat eliminated his team from the playoffs.
Dragic’s stats were decent while with the Bulls, but he had limited playing time with the Bucks. He originally came to Miami in a trade with the Phoenix Suns and became an integral part of the team’s rotation until the 2020-21 season when he was traded to the Toronto Raptors.
The Heat’s communication with Dragic’s representatives indicates a chance of a reunion for the upcoming 2023-24 season, which could be valuable for the team after the retirement of Udonis Haslem and the departure of Gabe Vincent.
