  1. I guess hoping that JB would give a discount like KP did is moot now.

But wow. The greed is saddening. The normal supermax of 295M wasnt enough. He had to push a bit higher for incentives which further limits how the Cs can improve their roster in the future or retain talent.

We will need more discount-giving players like KP (and gallo last year) coming to us the next few years.

Hopefully JB continues improving and locking up his money means hes more willing to play off-ball now while focusing on defense.

  2. This is great for Jalen Brown but by doing this and needing to sign Tatum to a max extension next year it's only going to hurt the suffix in the long run have it that much of the salary cap wrapped up in two players

  3. For a guy who can't dribble and can't shoot free throws, wow. Just wow. I guess he'll be a great trade asset after a year.

  4. I will continue to campaign that you guy stop with that stupid starting lineup. Brogdon wont start. They will start rob (most likely) or al.

Brogdon will come off the bench, most likely with al, hauser and others.

  5. While I am happy that the Celts are making every effort to keep this championship contender as a fan , but also as a fan who attends the games, we the fans are now going to pay from all the price hikes in tickets to merchandise, and to $50.00 beers in the stands, and in 2 years , Tatum's contract is due for a supermax deal, can we the fans really afford this, food for thought …

  6. thank goodness! all this trade talk is overrated. good for sports media, but Brown is great. lots of money, but its the new standard and at least were not forced to get rid of anyone.

  7. Don't care about the money this was an still is the best option and I trust the players on this roster celtics don't need no more big singings JT /JB /KP we good let's go Cs ☘️☘️💪

  8. He earned it, greatness is on the way! As a hometown fan, I am very happy that the Jays are still with us. I grade the deal as an A+.

  9. I wanna know the details of the contract. I read that there is no player option and a "trade kicker" not sure what that means in full.

  10. Good. That is done and now he either stays until the end of the contract or in a year, he will request a trade and the Celtics will get a good haul of players and picks back.

But it gives stability and more certainty with the situation, that the Celtics can't lose Jalen Brown for nothing.

  11. They most likely signed him this deal to trade him later for more players but not even curry or lebron gets the biggest offer no this is the worst contract of all time and I love brown but this contract for a player who isn’t even top ten or even 5 we should have gave him at most 45 mil for more decent players down the road

  12. Ugh. Too much money. Not a top-10 player. I wanted them to trade for Dame.

  13. Bro stop saying Jaylen Brown is not a top player. He is definitely top 20 and is only 26 in his prime. Hes worth every million he got paid and more. Im a real Celtics fan

  14. JB the highest paid player in NBA history is ridiculous considering he's only the third best player on his own team!

  15. I really like brown as a player but I think keeping smart and williams and letting go of a high salary still could have worked
