So the Indiana Pacers have been in trade talks with the Phoenix Suns about Pacers PG T.J McConnell for about two weeks now and the only guy the Phoenix Suns have that is of any interest to the Indiana Pacers is DeAndre Ayton. While it’s not ideal a Myles Turner, T.J McConnell swap for Ayton straight up would work cap wise for both teams.

Here’s the issue with this rumor. The Pacers have already stated they weren’t interested in dealing Turner. I don’t think they would all of a sudden change their mind to accept a bad deal. Also, like you said there’s not enough to separate what you’re getting from Ayton over what you’re already getting from Turner. So you’re taking on a bad contract just to to appease the Suns.
