Don’t care. Go win a ring once and for all

  2. Slow_Negotiation_420

Jaylen needs to score less and focus on defense/playmaking more. Hopefully he down around 23 a game and porzingis gets like 18 a game. Tatum 30

  3. tiakeuta

    JT: Top 3 MVP candidate
    KP: 20/10
    JB: All Defense, Improved playmaking

  4. 25DegreeD

    Tatum: 27-7-5 All-star, all-nba 1st team

    Brown: 25-5-3 All-star reserve, all-nba 3rd team

KP: 18-8-2 All-star reserve or injury replacement all-star reserve

  5. Weird_Breadfruit2458

Jaylen will probably pair extremely good with Pozingis. I don’t know about the specific stats but our offense could easily be in the top 3.

  6. shortpersonohara

we ain’t the sixers fans getting all hyped over regular season awards. i don’t care what happens as long as we win a ring

    Depends…

Can Prozingas play a full season? A lot of weight is hinging on his health as the Celtics haven’t grabbed a big to keep play style if he goes down…

Celtics want to go double big with 2 centers prime to be out half or more of the season… With Hordford as the BU…

A lot of risk in a double big lineup with no one to allow continuity of play when those 2 are in… Kornet isn’t it if that’s all there is on the bench…

They want JB to be as good as JT but won’t believe in him enough to give him an equal accomplishment. Now we wait

JT 32/9/6/2stls with better shooting splits and better consistency on D. Top 3 MVP but why not all the way? Allstar, All NBA 1st, AllDef 3rd

JB 25/6/4 with decreased turnovers, improved focus on defense and shoot at a better clip. Allstar, All NBA 2nd or 3rd

KP 19/7/3/1blk I expect to see him do some of Rob’s and some of Al’s duties with more offensive versatility. He’ll take shots from Al and Brogdon along with Grant’s previous numbers. Allstar replacement maybe.

We also need to consider White’s increased role. Maybe he can be an unlikely Allstar replacement or have another crack at AllDef.

I’d say both JB and JT will average about 2 ppg less than last season. JB has his money locked up, JT is getting his no matter what, and with another high USG guy in KP coming in both guys might see a drop in USG but hopefully better efficiency. Slightly less workload on offense should also allow each guy to give more on defense.

Prediction 1: TimeLord will have his healthiest seaosn. Just feel like he has to be due.

Prediction 2: Walsh gets regular back end of rotation minutes (9th man level) by end of year

  11. Gonna be hard for all 3 to eat, but I think KP’s assists go way up. And hopefully JT’s defense improves, if the addition of KP mean fewer iso’s and therefor fewer diving lunges for the basket that leave him laying on the floor.

  12. Drawing_The_Line

As per usual with a new group playing together, they will probably need a good while to get used to the adjustments of playing with each other and will take a while to gel. I’d temper expectations going into the season.

  13. spanther96

I think JB and Zinger will be pretty similar ppg wise. Like 23 each. JT about 26.

    **Tatum: 27-8-5.5**

    * Less need to score with KP *and* an increased playmaking role

    **Jaylen: 23-6-3**

    * I expect a slight decrease in ppg but a bump in efficiency with less emphasis on him creating for himself

    **KP: 19-8-2 with 2 bpg**

    * Expect some big scoring nights from KP, mixed in with some nights where he isn’t asked to score much and gives you like 15 pts on 6-8 shooting

I’m pretty bearish on Jaylen this year. I don’t think he’ll be awful or anything but I think he’s the player that will miss Smart the most, it seemed like Smart would find him the most on cuts and spot-ups. KP doesn’t really do anything to set up other guys so it’s not like he’s gonna help replace the big chunk of playmaking the team lost. I also think without Smart, JB is going to be asked to initiate offense more which is one of the weaker aspects of his game and where he is most prone to turnovers and costly mistakes. And with neither Grant or Smart, JB is probably the #2 best option on the roster (behind 37-year old Horford) to guard guys like Embiid and Giannis. So his workload is definitely going to increase on the defensive end as well which could wear on him.

As soon as the Smart/KP trade happened my first thought was that it’d make Jaylen noticeably worse, but I guess time will tell.

    3 way tie for mvp

Sorry y’all I’m just being realistic here

  17. PebblyJackGlasscock

I’m a glass half empty type of poster.

But there’s a slim chance that Tatum goes absolutely nuclear with 34/8/7, Porzingis is the fulcrum with 18/10/5, and Brown embraces his destiny and goes 23/8/4. And we have a big ducking parade at the end.

Defense, rebound, transition is still the easiest way to score in the NBA. The second easiest might be Tatum running the PNR with KP and Brown back cutting.

  18. C4VEJOHNSON

Tatum 27-7-5 All NBA 1st Team, ASG Starter
    Brown 24-6-4 ASG Reserve
    Porzingas 19-8-4

I know thats 72 ppg for 3 players but I think there will be some injuries as always and big scoring nights on those nights when one of em is out. I also think efficiency will go up all 3 of em quite possibly.

  19. Celtic_MezzoForte

A championship is all we want. I can speak for all of us

  20. a1mrbhelpuri

JT: 30 ppg, 7 rpg, 5 apg, top 3 mvp candidate, nba 1st team, nba defensive 2nd team, all star

JB: 25 ppg, 5 rpg, 3 apg, all star

KP: 20 ppg, 11 rpg, 2 bpg, all star

DW: 16 ppg, 5 rpg, 6 ast, NBA defensive 2nd team

  21. dicholasnolan

    Jayson Tatum: 29-7-5 on 45%/37%

    Jaylen Brown: 24-5-4 on 48%/35%

    Kristaps Porzingis: 18-9-2 on 50%/40%

I also think Tatum could be an all defensive team guy this year

  22. aturdnamedvert

    JT: 28.7 PPG 9.1 RPG 4.8 APG 1.1 SPG 0.8 BPG on 47/36/88 splits

Al is getting old. Look for Tatum and Rob to pick
up some slack on the boards. No need to say more. We should all expect a typical superstar/MVP candidate year from Tatum

    Brown: 24.7 PPG 4.6 RPG 3.5 APG 1.8 SPG 0.6 BPG on 48/37/80 splits

I’m hoping to see improvements defensively from JB, we know he can score. Now that we have Porzingis, hopefully he can take a slight step back offensively and can focus on other areas of his game.

    Porzingis: 19.6 PPG 9.3 RPG 3.2 APG 0.8 SPG 1.8 BPG on 52/35/85 splits

I have full faith in this guy to play his role and play it well. Just gotta hope he stays healthy.

The Boston Celtics finish narrowly above the Bucks and Heat for the 1 seed with 62 wins. Lillard and the Heat trail closely with 59 wins, and the Bucks with 58.

Celtics win a nail biter in 7 against the Heat to advance to the finals, where they go to 7 yet again with the Joker. The Jays’ offense combined with Porzingis’ length and Rob’s help defense bothering Jokic are enough to get us banner 18. We all rejoice and celebrate our finals MVP, #0, the greatest Celtic since Bird.
