  1. You can't sign a super-max that's only there for returning players who have stuck around…to then not stick around.

If a player wants to be on a different team, then they shouldn't be able to get the bonus that's meant for players that stick around. It's that simple. Dame WAS loyal, but the super max is for players who ARE loyal, not WERE loyal.

  2. Teams can do things to tamp down a players free agency market, why shouldn't players be able do things to influence their trade market?

  3. Why do we fool ourselves into believing that the good players dont have all the power? These games are won and loss in the margins. So a guy can sulk in the locker room, get surgery for an injury that they wouldve otherwise played through, milk an injury, or simply just drive to the basket less and ruin a teams season. No guy in a suit can change this. Just comes w the “employee” also being the product.

  4. Silver doesn’t want Lillard go to Heat after Celtic signed supermax

As making it fluke and be lost again at ECF

  5. People dont realize kd and harden wanted to be together cause they was both potheads😂😂and wanted to go to a franchise so to speak that didnt give them beef😂😂straightup

  6. Dame has been pimping the Blazers this whole time. Accumulating max contract after max contract all while playing the loyalty angle to keep his on court expectations from fans low. Now that’s he got his money he wants to go get his ring but is still trying to win the PR battle

  7. Portland GM keeps shitting on Dame NEEDS TO BE FIRED! didn't trade for a superstar said fck Dame drafted a rookie, Dame been asking his whole career

  8. Why did JB get that 15% trade kicker in his record new contract? Is that the standard going forward? Seems strange to me as this may hamstring the franchise in the future, should they want to get rid of him.

  9. Adam silver is the worst commissioner in sports, how the nba and its players are satisfied with this clown fits in with the motto that the nba has turned into a joke.

  10. The agent WORKS FOR the PLAYER. not the other way around! Lillard is aware of everything that his agent puts out.

  11. Where was the memo with Kawhi in SAS? Where was this memo with James Harden the past 4 years? Where was this memo for KD when he was demanding a trade to JUST Phx? The league is filled with hypocrites but picks and chooses when to “step in” this is bs!!

  12. Please consult the 13th amendment. You cant force someone to show up for work.

  13. Realistically he can get traded then retire nothing the NBA can really do about it. It’s been happening for years

  14. Same needs to fire his agent you have one job and it’s literally that so wtf also I like how they crack down of dame and they’ve been doing this since harden in Houston lol

  15. If you are a super star on a small market team Simply do not resign an extension. There are 8 teams that will always compete the rest are just a farm system team.

  16. I just don’t like the fact he said ONLY THE MIAMI HEAT 🤷🏽‍♂️ having that big of a contract isn’t just easy to move and given that he’s been loyal he still is under a contract he signed

  17. W for nba. It’s getting out of hand with players requesting trades and threatening with resting, surgeries and just not playing .

  18. Especially in recent years, CBAs are written with the small-market teams in mind. It's simply incompatible when the CBA is written for the Charlottes and Utahs of the world and then agents keep declaring their clients will only play for Miami or Los Angeles.

  19. Adam Silver had to get involved. Dame wants Portland to accept a half eaten burger and day old fries from Miami, and ignore any other NBA team offering more than that!

  20. I don't think it's good for the league at all. And I think ESPN is the biggest problem, not the players

  21. Dame deserves to be traded, he stayed on a shitty blazers team for years wasting his prime. Let the man get a ring!

  22. Much respect to Dame. But there is no such thing as a trade request with no hurt feelings or backlash. His agent said what Dame REALLY wanted to say. Dame has been well paid and considering the brand he's built, he doesnt strike me as a naive person. Being likeable won't make this any less contentious. The NBA kind of had to step in here.
