Where would you rank Carmelo all-time?
Melo had the potential to go much further than he did.
He had great potential on defense, but lacked the effort. He had great potential to rack up assits, but chose inefficient shots- out of the flow of the offense.
He had the chance to come to NY as a free agent at seasons end and be surrounded with a great supporting cast. But he chose to have the Knicks trade for him, so he could ensure his $$$. This left the Knicks gutted, and incapable of playoff success.
To me, Melo is one of the biggest "what if's…" History will remember him as a great scorer… But not the great all-around player HE COULD'VE been.
