This probably won’t be a popular take but Monte McNair deserves a lot of credit for putting the team together. The biggest difference this year is roster construction. If you have good players that fit, most NBA level coaches can make it work. In fact Mike Brown is the reason we got off to a slow start by insisting on starting a fringe NBA player(kZ Okopala) instead of our lottery pick just because he played for him on the Nigerian national team. We rarely have a good first half because he subs out Fox every few minutes not allowing him to get in a rhythm. Sure, the players like him and that has to count for something but he is not the main reason the Kings are winning.
Mike brown is not and shouldn't be coach of the year. The kings are dead last in defense amongst team's with a winning record in a weak up and down western conference. They can score but that's it. With 2 legit Allstars more than any other team that played for the same team this year except Boston and Jarren jackson, isn't a legit allstar for Memphis if that's your case then brook lopez should've been an allstar. Great year king's but there are like 4 other coaches ahead of brown to me
Supposedly a defensive wiz called coach is has this team a 28th in the league in the defensive side will get you the coach of the year ..😂😂😂 get real LMFAO
