That's the thing about the clippers. Russ doesn't even have to be the second option all the time. They have so many competent players that one day it can be Batum another day it can be Eric Gordon, Norman Powell can put up points. There are a bunch of players than can offer a scoring punch for this team. What Russ needs to make sure he does consistently is find the people that are hot and let them cook. It is always great to see Russ cook though.
And to answer your question, Russ is DEFINITELY the second option right now…. PG, is my guy, but he is too ball dominant, sloppy on the ball handling, questionable bball I.Q. and low efficiency…..🤔

No Russ cannot be our second option. He should just distribute and pick his spots. EG, Niko, Powell, and RoCo should be getting the shots from Russ playing downhill. Keep having very high assists totals is our winning formula

The Clippers have the role players who can each score 5 or more 3s a game. That's what Russ needs in order to score consistently because the court is spaced.

Westbrook is playing like he's option 1. Kawhi is playing like he's a 2nd option, passing up on shots taking less than 20 shots per game. Not sure what is happening with him. He looks old compared to Westbrook. When WEstbrook pushes the ball, Kawhi is always lagging. If he doesn't raise his level, Westbrook might steal all the headlines and possibly a finals MVP from him should they get that far.
