Bulls biggest problem is unfortunately the GM. I’ve been a fan my entire life and I’m just barely old enough to miss the Jordan chips. Still over 20 years of complete middle of the pack mediocrity due to injuries, bad trades, and bad contracts. It’s as if he’s always in win now mode but never makes the right moves to win. However, I know there’s been other questionable GMs throughout this time which really brings up the question— is the owner the Bulls biggest problem?
As for the biggest problem for this years success, I would say is the inconsistency in bench help which was improved slightly this offseason with the acquisitions of Torrey Craig and even j. carter (depending on how c. white is looking at the start of the season). I can see us realistically being 7th or 8th seed, reaching the playoffs after play-in victories. Still unsure if we make it out of the first round but definitely not out of the second. What they could do is extend Demar and trade him in a sort of S&T. I could see the Raptors and Sixers as some good trade partners.
This video was excellent great content and breakdown and I totally agree with your take this Bulls team needs more size. This why I think they need to go out and get and athletic rim running big who can contest and block shots also this why drafting DTerry instead of WKessler was a mistake imaging if he was on this roster the front office would’ve probably could’ve work a sign and trade deal for Vooch and got draft capital back and other plug in players like another shooter or 3&D wing
