Scottie + GTJ + Filler and 1 pick
I’d rather do something like gtj + Boucher + frp for herro
Really not interested. He’s not good enough to take us to the finals. Don’t want to give up good young players for a mid 30’s guy with some recent injury troubles who doesn’t want to play here
Excited to what Dame will develop into when he hits his golden 40s 😍😍😍
This Twitter page is not reliable bro they says sources but they have zero.
Well, I don’t think this is a real source, so I won’t give it too much credence.
I mean a dame + siakam + Poeltl core could work. Just need some actual NBA talented role players for contention and we don’t have that if we gut the team for dame
As long as we’re not trading barnes, this makes sense. A core of lillard+barnes+Poeltl is probably good enough for a deep playoff run. If Siakam is in the mix, then damn thats a good team. OG is probably the centerpiece of this trade which hurts my heart.
It’s a no brainer to try given the fact Miami’s reported package is Herro, some probably not lottery picks and filler.
This isn’t even a “do we trade Scottie” scenario. Our picks are more valuable just given the uncertainty of the team (Miami is perpetually competitive), the player(s) they get might be of more value to them like OG (if he extends and they think he can pull a Mikal Bridges) and Dick who is younger/possibly better than Jaquez. Or OG can be re-routes for those alleged 3 1st rounders to a team like Memphis where the Blazers end up with 6-10 picks/swaps over the next 5-6 years.
My key question on any dark horse leaping in for him is how much his value will or can change from this off-season to next.
If a team took a flyer on him this off-season, tried to win with him, then traded him next offseason to Miami, could the difference between what the flyer team and Miami trade for him be small enough to be worth it for a basically a one-year rental?
It’s probably the Celtics.
Dame / Schroder
Gary / Dick
OG / McDaniels
Pascal / Precious
Yak / Koloko
That’s a squad
It’s Brooklyn stop with this non-sense. WE DONT WANT HIM
If this was 2018 and Lillard’s name was being thrown around instead of Kawhi, I’d be hyped because we actually had a championship-caliber team. In 2023 however, we don’t have a championship-caliber team with or without Dame. Trading for him would be a mistake.
We hired a whole team of development coaches so Dame/Pascal/Jakob can learn to ball. /s
It’s not us
The fact that confused people around here want to trade Scottie for Dame shows how little they actually value Scottie long term. If they valued Scottie, they’d realize how important it is to keep him as long as possible.
Trade Barnes for Lillard.
Ride out Lillard and Siakam for as long as you can. Then tank and do a proper rebuild when they’re done.
Just watch, it’ll turn out that its New York offering RJ Barrett and a bunch of heavily protected 1st rounders.

1. This is pure speculation
2. Just mentions a “team in the East”, doesn’t even hint that it involves the Raptors at all
3. Others have noted this is an unreliable/inaccurate source
And y’all still spending time automatically assuming this is true, is definitely the Raps, and discussing trades? lmao
Please Masai.
If Scottie is the only current starter going to Portland, I’m in.
A Scottie+Dick base going to Portland would also make the painful rebuild in 3-4 years slightly less painful since the Raptors likely shouldn’t have to include much (any?) future draft capital.
Dame is a star. He immediately makes the Raptors a contender. One star addition to a team can make a huge difference. See Kawhi Leonard for more information.
Edit: I am not saying Kawhi and Dames are the same, only that a star addition can greatly improve a team.
I’m so sick of seeing people willing to give up on Scottie this quickly
If the Raptors trade for Dame everyone who said they’re not interested will instantly flipflop
If we didn’t trade Scottie for Durant we aint trading him for Dame
No, no more, I’m tired
