  1. Toronto is an interesting destination. The business of the Raptors requires draft picks, and long term contracts signed elsewhere.
I could see Jeremy going there at the deadline

  2. I hope Scoot, Simons, and every other NBA player is watching how Portland treats it's players after 11 years of dedication and service.

  3. Good take here Sean Highkin. Portland is absolutely NOT motivated to trade dame at all, and due to this, the price just IS the price. We have what you want and you gotta pay what we want or we don't give you what you want. That's how this works. Portland loses nothing by waiting, they are already losing their franchise superstar if they trade him… So they WILL be demanding a maximum return and absolutely nothing less will do.

  4. Mike digging deep to find meaningful contributions to the podcast. It's good to see you finding down to earth and level headed people to be on the podcast Mike! Much better work here.

  5. Joe Cronin is not a real GM. He can not even make a phone call without Bert Kolde approving it (the call, not a trade concept). The Blazers are in deep trouble.

  6. The deadline is when it needs to happen. By then Miami will have to pivot to Lavine or something more in their modest price range. Then after sitting at home all season Dame will have no choice but to open his "list" up. Also by then teams will know where they are for the season. A handful of teams will see themselves in postion to make a serious run and will jump at the chance to add a superstar like Dame. Thats when the real market and real offers will develope. There is no "version" of Miami's offer that is sufficient. Not unless Riley manages to work some literal magic and absolutely fleece a 3rd team into giving up real assets. Which is extremely unlikely. Miami is just a no. No matter what Dame or Pat Riley wants. The Blazers cannot and will not be anybody's chump.
