But what if the Heat can not conjure up a suitable offer?
Despite Dame making it clear where he wants to go, he may have no choice but to open up to other teams if the Miami Heat cannot meet the demands of the Portland Trail Blazers and the Toronto Raptors could swoop in for a huge offer to land the player.

No, not at what it would cost us to get him.
It's very different from 2019
We basically swapped Kawhi for Demar and kept rest of core and bench.
Kawhi, Lowry, FVV, PS,OG, Ibaka, Marc, Norm… that was one hell of deep team, with tons of playoff experiences.
Even if we don't give up any players to get Dame.
As currently constructed… Dame, PS, OG, SB… GTJ and Schroder?…. no.. this is not going win any championships.
Now remove OG or SB from this line up, after the trade….it's not even ECF team.
We shouldn't throw the kitchen sink to get Dame.
Masai always says the deadline is a bad time to make decisions, that is because the last two deadline he has made the wrong decision. Dame is awesome but having Dame's salary plus Siakam, Barnes and Precious extension will make things tough.
Lol, you know damn well Portland will want Scottie Barnes, period. They dont want high paid vets… Unless Toronto wants to take Grant's contract…
