I don’t know what LeBron could’ve done (he even fouled him a couple times) good defense but it was BBQ chicken at the end

I forgot how much those old Nuggets jerseys stunk. Huge upgrade.

Great offense always beats great defense.
Joker using his fundamentals and not doing too much to get the basket. LeBron with ELITE defense.

If I recall correctly they asked Jokic about this in the post game and his response was “I had a mismatch” with a completely deadpan look on his face.

Ever since this moment, when they’ve played in the regular season Lebron has noped out of guarding Jokic.

Nikola is so fundamentally sound at basketball. Sometimes these shots don’t go in but few knew the baller he would become.

That half spin when Jokic first catches the ball is such an underrated example of his IQ.
On the catch Lebron is playing Jokic completely straight up, which means that when Jokic turns for the hook, Lebron will be able to contest it as he brings it up, or on the shot.
But with that spin, he’s able to move Lebron and get him on his hip, which means that when he goes for the hook, Jokic’s body is between Lebron and the ball. Lebron can’t contest the ball nearly as well without the possibility of fouling Jokic.

Should’ve been an “and-one”. Was Mark Jackson officiating this game?

The idea that Lebron could shut down 1-5 in his prime is one of the biggest myths in basketball. He was a phenomenal wing defender but would get cooked by small quick guards (e.g. Jason Terry in the 2011 finals) and skilled centers (e.g. Roy Hibbert in 2013 ECF)
