Celtics are #3 in ESPN’s post off-season power rankings

“Few teams made more dramatic swings this summer than the Celtics signing Jaylen Brown to a historic max contract and swapping Marcus Smart, long the heart-and-soul of the roster, for Kristaps Porzingis. The move raises Boston’s championship ceiling, giving it a totally different look offensively than it had before and creating a completely different dynamic within the team. Only time will tell if it’s a swing that will connect or miss entirely. — Bontemps”

We should be number one for sure but because of recency bias that the Nuggets won (fluke) we should be solid at number 2.

I feel like this isn’t talked about enough. The reason we gave up Smart and Grant was because we got an upgrade. Smart made impact plays but he was no player who consistently can give you 20 each game. You have that with Pozingis and that makes you a better team. Not to mention Tatum and Brown get the keys to being leaders of the team not a defense first rotational piece

  3. Said it a million times just like a few others but KP is either gonna be the downfall of the Jay era or the missing piece that gets us a chip. I really don’t see any in-between
