The Sweet Revenge of Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic has just had one of the best championship runs of all-time, leading the playoffs in points, rebounds, assists & true shooting percentage. And he proved all his doubters wrong about him. And boy, there were so many of them.

This isn’t just the story of how Jokic lead the Denver Nuggets to their first championship in franchise history, but also a story of how overlooked the Nuggets have been. How overlooked Jamal Murray was. How overlooked Michael Malone was. And especially how overlooked the two-time MVP Nikola Jokic was (and still is, even after winning a title as the first option & anchor of the defense).

And finally, a story of how Jokic took his sweet revenge of all his doubters (notably Nick Wright, Kendrick Perkins, Chris Mannix & Stephen A. Smith). And did it in a way only the Joker can.

  1. Darko was legit , too bad coach brown didn’t give rookies playing time let alone a rookie on a stacked team . Darko had flashes of raw talent definitely could’ve blossomed if drafted by the spurs

  2. I can't believe, this editing is incredible… Deserves a "national geographic" watermark. I've never done this thing of giving money to creators, but it happens i have 2€ Google points, and this video deserve it. Thanks from Italy

  3. Devin Booker is the only All Star who got his butt kicked by Two Eastern European White Guys in a separate seasons in the Conference Semis.

  4. Bro 4 hours, i need to watch this for like 4 5 days.
But lets give a chance and thanks for video.
Its like djokovic plays tennis long video.

  5. 1:53:45 alright this clip kinda epitomizes why I love Jokic he’s just like a person. Obviously other nba players are people but plenty of them don’t exactly try to market themselves or act like ‘normal’ people. Obviously Jokic now is very rich and famous so by no means is an average person but I guess just his persona and authenticity I feel like is obvious, like in this clip where yes he twerks and it’s dumb and funny but then he’s laughing and slapping the ref on the back.

  6. Insane work, 4 hour of pleasure summarizing the love I have for this player that I followed since 2016. Thank you so much bro !!!!!

  7. Despite being a long time Celtics fan, Kendrick Perkins has a lot of arguments I don't agree with. Also, I think Jokic is better than any Celtics player right now. My all-time faves are Larry Bird, KG and Jokic.

  8. 1:05:20 – "You can't guard me." – Nikola Jokic

The way he says it too is damn near so menacing lol. And he still put respect on shaq's name despite having so much confidence in those first four words.

  9. americans really think they're always the best… 😂😂😂

and bitchass embiid really whined and moaned for that MVP… 🤡🤡🤡

  10. Thanks dude for making this vid. He is my favorite player after Dirk and both getting chips while facing criticism all their career, it is just sweet man. It's fucking so sweet. 🗡️🃏

  11. 3:23:15 this is such a dumb and simple and easy to debunk argument. In the first two MVP seasons, he’s missing his second and third or fourth best player, and there is no player in history who we’d ever expect to win the championship in that condition. At the same time, Jokic is putting up historic numbers and though his team isn’t a top contender they’ve still very much had respectable records and been solid to good teams. Then for the third mvp (from the perspective at the time they’re talking about it) obviously they have no way of knowing how the Nuggets will do in the playoffs.

  12. 3:29:53 ok this is literally just anti-intellectualism from Nick. Notice he makes no explanation or discussion of what the stats are telling you, instead he just points at them and says they obviously must be completely worthless because they don’t align with his presumptions. His point isn’t that the stat is formulated badly, or an effort to try and argue that the stat shouldn’t be used. The problem is, Nick has the perspective that Jokic is a terrible defender, so when he sees the defensive box plus minus that in his ‘understanding’ indicate Jokic is the best defensive player ever, he doesn’t stop and consider if there are reasons for this disconnect between his presumptions and reality (I’m not saying that Jokic is a phenomenal defender, but no matter how much you dislike DBPM, it is objective, Nick just doesn’t understand what the fuck it means so he assumes it must just be that a higher number says you’re better at defense). You see this also with people who say things like “Jokic is the back to back MVP yet he’s not even a top 5 player” or whatever tf. Notice people who say that never stop and consider why they value Jokic less than the awards would indicate they should, instead they accept their top-5 ranking for granted, and say that ‘obviously the MVPs must be fraudulent otherwise they’d disagree with me,’ like, have you guys considered maybe you just fucking suck at talent evaluation if you sincerely think Jokic won MVP back to back but is not a top 5 player.

Edit 3(at least this one isn’t Nick): 3:39:50 here we fucking see it again. ‘The Suns are a better team than the Nuggets, but the Nuggets are running over them [that’s not exactly what the guys said but close enough]. Obviously this must just mean that the suns are throwing this whole thing away, I couldn’t possibly be undervaluing the Nuggets.’

  13. Omg I can’t wait to watch this tonight 4 hours of sweet sweet justice 🃏

  14. What crazier than all of this is the fact that you got multiple videos that got millions of views and still got 35k subscribers

  15. FOUR FRICKING HOURS!? 😅😮

Maaaan can't wait to find the time to watch it in it's totality! 👍👏🔥🔥

  16. Where were those white racist voters when a black player was voted the MVP and that was the case most of the times!? If the majority of the voters are white why aren't we seeing more white players being voted for the MVP in the past let's say 40 years?

  17. 4:06:04 I get your point but honestly I don’t even want to indulge the thought that he doesn’t care about basketball, considering he came in as a second round pick and has improved how much to where he is now? If he didn’t care he wouldn’t have ever grown to be successful. And your point isn’t even necessarily wrong that he has other priorities also and expresses himself very differently form most NBA players, but it seems to me even given that you cannot say he doesn’t care about basketball at all or he wouldn’t have had any kind of success thus far.

  18. 4:11:02 “I don’t like the back down, back down,” bro that’s literally exactly how Shaq played and let’s be honest, it’s really easy to tell this guy loves Shaq.

  19. 4:12:48 flashiness isn’t all that matters but this is also a really dumb point because Jokic has so many fucking flashy and insane passes what are you even talking about Paul????

  20. About his attitude, yea I feel that people in America, or honestly in the west in general, want their athletes to eat sleep and live their sport. Like it’s crazy that someone so good would be this chill and laid back about his life. And sports fans just forget that they too are humans and not everyone is the same. Not everyone is a psychopath like Jordan and Kobe, there are winners out there that are different (and don’t need to beat up their teammates lol) like Duncan and Jokic.

  21. im not gonna lie. as a newer NBA fan this past year was the first full NBA season i followed like that. i never bothered watching anything related to the Nuggets or Jokic because i thought they were boring. i was glad Embiid won MVP. but the playoffs proved me wrong. this dude is unstoppable. and as a Heat fan, the finals were painful to watch. but im glad he got a ring.
