I would also like to point out that studies saying professional teams don’t help the local economy. 95% of those cities used in the study have more than 3 pro teams in the city and the state. We have one professional team in the whole state you can’t compare us to New York or Chicago or even Denver pro market.

It is certainly subsidizing Billionaires with tax payer money. Yet OKC with our small economy and single pro team can’t afford to die on that hill. It’ll have to be some major city calling a teams bluff for years on end to break this trend.
