I think the only thing the mavs NEED to do is get a legit C at this point.
A Holmes Breakout Year would give them a top 15 Center, so this would be massive.
Green will breakout this season he gets better and better every season
One wild card is to play basketball with 2 centers at the same time + grant
For Holmes I think he is ready to give it everything this year and compared to Powell, Holmes is better at getting points
THJ is bound to be shit at the beginning of the year. He has always been awful whenever he was in trade conversations. Having Maxi and Horford in the same conversation is ludicrous. Horford is just monumentally better.
It should be called an Isaac jar at this point.
I feel THJ would be an important contender as well. We all know Green, Grant and Exum will bring their defense. But if THJ has a career year, consistently performing and giving 15-17 PPG at a high efficiency. He could be a deadly 3rd option or off the bench scorer. And not just that, his declining contract would become very valuable and could lead to a beneficial trade option for mavs.
Still feel Grant and Green will be the most important players to have a breakout season.
Should the mavs keep wood around now that they have some more defensive options? He was pretty good on offense.
I feel very confident Holmes will be the starter. They tried to keep Dwight on the bench at the beginning of last season. I feel like Kidd is really hoping Holmes will be noticeably better than Dwight, and I think he will.
