Notably, @ShamsCharania reports today that “for now, talks are at a complete pause” with the Hawks and the Raptors on Pascal Siakam. Also reports that ATL is “fully prepared to enter the 2023-24 season with their current team.”

Apparently we’ve offered AJ Dre and picks I’m glad they’ve said no 😂.

In all honesty, the team we have now I like way more than anything with Siakam considering what we’d have to give up. A full off-season going to do wonders with this squad imo

I’m hype for the raptors to finish 12th in the East this year and let Siakam walk for nothing like they did with FVV

It’s tough debate on whether to go all in on a “win now” strategy, or see if we can get some of our young players to fill in those roles in a short enough time to keep Trae/DJM happy and contend. I have a lot of faith that AJ will eventually be looked at as a draft steal, but the dude is 20 this year and probably needs another few years minimum to reach his potential. Similar for Jalen, I think he can at least fill the role JC had with Bey, but he hasn’t come close to his ceiling. I think the bigger question with all of this is, how long do we expect the Trae era to last and if it’s not long, how much should we go all in on another star?

If they didn’t want Hunter/Griffin/Picks walk away and call back in January and offer even less

Toronto as usual asking for ridiculous asks for their players

Good. Trading AJ would be a classic Hawks mistake

Hunter isn’t good and our draft compensation is years out. AJ is the only peice thats attractive. Ya no kidding Toronto didn’t accept this nonsense. IF we are serious about Siakam, OO has to go else they aint doing it.

Did you hear Georges Niang on the Club 520 podcast talk about Quinn? He gives him credit for having him focus on 3 and D and saving his career. I’m sure Hunter will get the same message perhaps along with some instructions about when to bang the offensive boards or else get back on transition D. Whether he can and will respond to these instructions is another thing.

Would rather just run with a Trae-DJ-Bogi-Hunter-Capela starting 5 and keep that shit moving.

Honestly Hunter’s lack of commitment to a 3 and d role is the biggest bottleneck inhibiting the upward trajectory of our franchise.

Thank God. Stupidity is paying through the nose for a guy who will clearly leave after 1 year.

does this mean we’re doing nothing with the trade exception we got from moving JC?
