Why would we try to get rid of an all nba guy that WANTS to be here. Scottie can still be centerpiece with siakam on yhe team. I rrally hope we keep him 🙏
You can’t give someone something if they won’t take it. He doesn’t want nor will sign a extension. It not that he only want to stay with Toronto it’s like he only want to stay where he can get a super max. He just watched VV play selfish ball and get paid and I’m sure he’ll do the same as f it gets him what he wants. As I said since the bubble VV was toxic with the bet on yourself play.

It's very possible that Siakam doesn't want to sign an extension this offseason. If he makes all nba he could be worth a max deal, if he doesn't he just signs the extension next offseason anyway. He's really got the team over a barrel here.
I'm sure the organization asks players not to speak about their contract situation publicly so when Pascal refused to sign with any other team if traded he opened the door to a sign & trade. The organization doesn't like rouge employees
Not very high on the possible Atlanta trade. Trade him to Charlotte who are looking for an all star PF for Gordon Hayward, C Mark Williams who 245 plus pounds an absolute beast in the paint and is of Nigerian decent and two unprotected 1st round picks. Williams is better than koloko and actually has muscle on him.
Have to trade OG or Pascal financially.
I still believe the Atlanta trade happens after September 2nd when Bogdanovic is trade able September 2nd because he signed an extension awhile back. Even though I’m not really high on the Atlanta trade I’d still take Bogdanovic, Griffin and Okongwu and 1st round pick.
Honestly I would do it. Well I would say we have a deal, if you add bufkin and we hear those picks are 2 first round picks and 2 seconds. I’m in. We can’t keep all of these guys. It’s impossible. Guys gotta go. If we had gradey , AHJ grif and Gary wow. Those are 3 very young three point snipers.
Trade Siakiam before training camp. Darko will not allow him to be selfish and play iso ball and stat Pad just so he can get a better contract. Siakiam saw what Vanvleet did and could do the same. This situation can get ugly. Masai you better get this guy out of here.

If we have to rebuild trading Siakam on a supermax will net little in return You're better off trading him now. If you're going for it, then yeah sign him.
Masai and that POS Nurse are responsible for this toxic selfishness Siakiam and Vanvleet was showing. They win a championship and think their in the same league as Lebron. Masai should’ve checked their egos but no. And now we’re stuck with this mess. If I’m Darko I’m telling Siakiam it’s my way or your gonna be sitting on the bench.

This trade with PS is a non stop issue, it’s not a good feeling to all who likes PASCAL to stay. I hope he stays, I hope PS would not take it to heart…

If we keep Pascal and extend him, his trade value goes up. Masai is asking for that package now. I think OG walks so higher chance OG gets traded.
Relax Ben. They are not going to lose him for nothing. He isn't going to sign with Atlanta for nothing. If he was going to do that Atlanta wouldn't offer anything for him. Even if Siakam goes UFA raps still can offer 10+ mill more than anyone else and Siakam still has to uproot his life where ever else he goes. Raps are playing hardball with Siakam to get him to sign for a discount. They may only be willing to offer him the same as what any other team can pay him. His chance to make all NBA is virtually none next year with the change in position quota for all NBA. Atlanta is stupid for offering this little for Siakam because they act like they are not desperate when they are. There is no trade market for any of their stars and they gave away all their draft picks so they can't tank for lottery tickets. They are if anything in a worse situation than the raptors because they have worse talent than the raps, they have no picks and they don't have any real blue chip prospects like Scottie.
I never understood the point of "he wants to stay here so extend him" he wants to stay because of the BAG and it's a business in the end of the day and siakam isn't good enough to be a #1 guy
Be ready for other Siakam trade offers to get worse. Nobody wants to lose major assets for a 1 year rental

An extension for Siakam is not realistic right now coz he wants to try to be eligible for a SUPER max deal. An all NBA nod next season will give him that. Primary reason why he publicly said he wants to stay, he becomes ineligible for SUPER max if traded..
Him saying that makes his trade value lower as its basically a rental. Plus those last 2022 offseason trades which teams gave too much for Gobert, Mitchell & even Murray affects the trade market now. Harden & Lillard can't even get much value in return, clearly higher tier than Siakam. The market in general is quite low so fans shouldn't expect much in return for Siakam. But it's better than losing him for nothing in free agency..
Is Siakam worth a SUPER max if he becomes eligible? Can the Raptors keep/sign ALL their core guys after and have some to upgrade the roster? Clearly they need an upgrade if they wanna be in the mix out East. If they can't, what's the point of extending all these players to big money if they're just mediocre? Keep in mind the new CBA..
IMO, better hit the reset button & rebuild now. Remember their pick next year is top6 protected. The core has reached its ceiling and is going nowhere tbh..
Raps fans way overvaluing Pascal. No team in the NBA is willing to overpay for him not because he won't sign…it's because he just ain't worth it. Raps fans thinking they know more than the NBA market is laughable.
