  1. Pistons actually won 3 straight. That wasn't a foul on laimbeer on that jabber skyhook. I saw it in RIGHT AT THE MOMENT! time, but u kind folk can watch ⌚ it on 30 for 30. It's when the ref blows the WHISTLE! which made it that much harder worse.

  2. Yo much love Im a Detroit native appreciate this video this my era remember this like yesterday I was 10 yr old I was wondering could u do a doc on Michael Finley or john starks its not much on them out probably due to lack obtainable content on there personal life pertaining basketball.

  3. What a way 2 close out the 80's! I didn't think in '89 that the PISTONS! would b the organization 2 end uh dynasty!

  4. i don’t watch this stuff. my grampa says until his clippers are in the finals i’m not allowed to watch. 👉🙈🙉

  5. Now I understand Michael Jordan and Chicago's gripe with Isaiah Thomas and the Pistons. Jordan and the Bulls paid homage to the pistons when the pistons beat them. The following year, the Pistons walked off the floor, not paying any homage or passing the torch to Jordan snd the Bulls.

  6. This is a era where players look professional. These brothas, wore suits and ties to their game. Nowadays… these professional players, who are grown MEN…… are wearing skinny jeans and dresses to their games. Who would've thought????

  7. Jesus is coming back soon. Believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, turn from your sins, get baptized in the name of Jesus, and follow Jesus the one true God who came in the flesh to die for our sins to be washed away. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and the only way to Heaven. Love everybody, forgive others, and obey God's commandments the best U can. Pray everyday, read the Bible, and lead others to Jesus. This life is jus temporary but Heaven and Hell is forever. Heaven is only for those who truly follow Jesus. And Jesus is only coming back for his true loyal followers. The rest will be left behind to deal with God's wrath on the Earth. The Anti Chtist will come to the Earth performing miracles and claiming to be God and will enforce the mark of the beast 666 a computer chip in your hand yo be able to buy sale, or trade. If U take it then U will go to Hell. U will have to start truly following Jesus, trying to lead people to Jesus, suffer for Jesus, and die for Jesus to make it to Heaven. Start truly following Jesus now while U still have a chance.

  8. Isiah’s my all time favorite athlete. I remember watching this as a 12 or 13 yr old kid. I BEGGED my father to rent this from Blockbuster Video back in the late summer or fall of 1989.

He finally brought it home one Friday night while I was already asleep and I woke up that Saturday morning and saw it sitting on the VCR in the living room the next morning and almost lost control of my bodily functions (I thought I was gonna be headed to the ER at Detroit Children’s Hospital…but I had a video to watch 😎)

  9. I love the bad boys, but the knicks were a bad match up for Detroit that year as the knicks swept the pistons in the regular season. Lol I was very happy the bulls beat the knicks that year

  10. Nasty team. Dirty. Even they admit it. Isiah was a cheap shot artist. Not only did they try to win, they tried to end players career.

  11. Lakers would have three peat if no hamstring injuries to Bryan Scott and magic. Trust me lakers win that series in 5 games in 1989 finals. Remember they swept 3 teams before meeting Detroit pistons

  12. The Thing About Remembering Championships…….You Remember That Time In Your Life. I Had a 1 Year Old Daughter, Now I Have 14 Grandkids & One Great Grandchild On The Way……….Wow, Life.

  13. My favorite team, ever. They should have won at least 3 titles. They got ripped off in '88 by a phantom foul call at the end of game 7. Pistons took out the Bird Celtics, Jordan Bulls and Showtime Lakers in 1 year. Underrated.

  14. These people all have a convenient memory, the Knicks to swept the Pistons and also both Magic and Scott went down but nobody wants to talk about those

  15. This was the best ERA of basketball being a teenager during this time I can remember after watching basketball games me and my friends will go up to the basketball court and just play basketball

  16. This era of the NBA makes it great because the refs weren't controlled by the league or just dirty.

  17. Man, I was a freshman in high school during this year. Loved NBA and NCAA basketball. It's crazy how long ago this was because it seemed not too long ago to me. Thank you again for these GREAT uploads Dawkins 😁

  18. Awesome to have to so much league action from other teams included!

  19. This is so much more in-depth on what actually happened in a Finals series than the crappy modern documentaries that show you like 20 seconds from each game, or less.

  20. I respected the game and skills of Kareem, Jordan, Bird, Magic , and a large number of other players in the NBA at this time, but when they played the Pistons I always rooted against them. Bad boys for life!!!

  21. superstar describes isiah thomas and legend describes michael jordan larry bird magic johnson and kareem abdul-jabbar

  22. So much slobbering over Jordan, you have to really pay attention to realize it was the Pistons who won the series. And that they were RETURNING to the Finals, not “finally realizing their potential against the Bulls. They wouldn’t lose to the Bulls in the playoffs for two more years, yet the narrative makes it seem like it was the Bulls instead of the Celtics and Lakers who really stood in the way.

  23. Legendary teams in that era. Bird’s Celtics, Showtime Lakers, Jordan’s Bulls and the Bad Boys!

  24. I'm glad my hometown has 3 they most likely will never catch up to the bulls but 3 is better than 0. It's crazy because they're is still NBA teams that have no chips.

  25. It just comes to show you how good Mike was. A whole team documentary talks about him to a depth and not just a gloss over lol
