Wall was the better player but I think over the course of their careers Beal was the one who improved more over time.

  2. ragtime_sam

Tommy Shepperd was every bit as bad as Ernie

  3. waskittenman

the Gilbert glazing that goes on is embarrassing

  4. 43_Hobbits

We were never gonna beat the Cavs or Celtics in ‘16-‘17 playoffs.

  5. Notorious_Beebs

Ted Leonsis isn’t a terrible owner

  6. lycosid

Beal was the consummate professional the entire time he was here, and the Wizards fans who screamed for him to be traded and then got mad at him for getting traded are little tiny babies.

  7. wizkid78

I did not care for the golden uniforms. They’re more iconic because Gilbert scored 60 on Kobe in them

  8. TFDBLoL

You’re allowed to have your hot takes, but I strongly disagree. When you had John and Marcin on the pick and roll, it was literally unstoppable. He was such an incredible screen setter, and he had a smooth way of rim running for a guy of his size.

  9. BayTerp

We shouldn’t have traded Beal and Porzingis. Instead we should’ve built around them.

  10. 1lultaha

The red white and blue uniforms we wore during the Wall era are our best uniforms

  11. Kuzma and Poole chucking up 50 shots a night will not be the fun team many people think it will be

  12. StopAxxinQues

For a team short on memorable history:
John Wall and Gilbert Arenas both deserve their numbers to be retired.

  13. Key_Information_6238

That John Wall is a better overall player than Gil.

Gil is a better scorer but imo his advantage there and a slight advantage as a shooter, don’t overcome the massive advantages Wall brought as a defender and playmaker.

  14. madmoneymcgee

I would have been fine seeing if another year of Beal/kuz/KP could get anything going.

  15. BirdmanTheThird

Wall, Beal and Gilbert shouldn’t have their jerseys retired that’s reserved for someone truly great imo

  16. LankyConstruction259

    I have 2
    1. I like this team
    2. Xavier Cooks excites me and is really hope we have an Aussie heritage night

  17. Available_Heart_6742

Tommy Sheppard would have made us contenders if given one more year.

  18. Paint_Agreeable

Johnny Davis is the next Pat bev

  19. RoastDaMostToast

Bilal will probably end up a massive bust by never catching up to NBA speed

  20. This team is perpetually irrelevant with no realistic championship aspirations and will continue to be that way unless we get 1-2 top 2-3 lottery picks

  21. flyinhyphy

blial will end up being the better frenchman.

  22. FullEntologist

Deni will be a starting caliber 3 next year.

  23. Giving Beal that supermax + no trade clause was good

  24. Knighthonor

Bonga will have a better NBA career than Bilal…

  25. conzcious_eye

Gilbert Areanas is the best guard ever to put on a Wizards jersey

  26. thefreedomjourney

Michael Jordan was the second best thing to happen to this franchise (behind the Isaiah thomas signing)

  27. King_Nil

We should’ve never got rid of Kelly Ubre and Tomas Satoransky

  28. Turbo2x

Wizards fans are generally Fairweather Johnsons and not as dedicated as, say, the Kings fanbase, who were just as bad. If this rebuild is successful then Cap One will be full of fans who “were loyal during the tough times” but probably cheered for the Warriors for the past few years.

    Y’all are real ones though.

  29. juuuuuundaddy

Wizards should specifically target international guys in the draft/free agency. DC is a much more appealing city to international people than Americans.

  30. Truthful_Azn

Winger is a great president of operations.

  31. jumpreverb

I despised having to watch Westbrook play here. Hate his game for about a dozen reasons, and hated that he dragged a crap team to the playoffs and potentially prolonged the Tommy era another year.
