I had Pistons season tickets in 04. The best way to describe it? Every game was a PARTY! All Detroit fans knew we were champs (us or Pacers anyway). Going in to Finals we knew Lakers had zero chance. I mean, we set every defensive record in the shotclock era. 04 team? No luck involved. We'd beat them in a series 10/10 times. 💪💪
Funny Laker "excuses" I've he heard:
-Karl Malone was injured… Yes. In 4th qtr of gm 5 when series over.
-Kobe was distracted from rape trial that year… Kobe distracted? C'mon now.
-Shaq/Kobe were feuding… Grown men, professional athletes, stomped the superior West to reach Finals, …again, but suddenly THAT'S a problem? I don't think so.
No bulls championship was forgotten especially not part of the 3 peat
The 92 Bulls team was disrespected? How could they be disrespected?? They were a great team in that season!!
Pistons of course.
The 04 Pistons would have beaten any team that year in a 7 game series. Not a sweep, and maybe taking all 7 games to do it, but they would have. They made the Lake show look like chumps. The absolute best least-famous team ever (no superstars).
Just as the video began… my internal dialogue goes "1994-'95 Rockets should be on this list." Moments later… alright… they made this list! Perfect!
I think the mavs should be in there
The pistons literally beat people up to get there.
No layup Jordan rule 😒
And when they got beat by the bulls they weren't even good sportsmen enough to shake their hands 😒
The 1982-83 Sixers are an underated great championship team.
Badboy Pistons are definitely underrated, they had a great team chemistry.. They would have 3 peated but got screwed by ref against Lakers..
Raotors chip get mad disresepct that was a great team
Great Content !!!!!!
You mean literally beat up those teams. I’m talking about the 88-89 & 89-90 Pistons title teams. Also, I disagree with your choice. The 04 Pistons team is the most underrated title team of all time.
Great Video! I love basketball but our Detroit teams never got the respect they deserve. Thanks for acknowledging us.
09:06 Dumars!!!What a pass!
Just the first 2 make this a great list. Qlmosy nobody watched those Rockets Finals. My brother's didn't. Have years of Jordan in the Finals people didn't care, sadly. I remember watching those games alone. I love that Rockets squad and if Sampson had stated healthy they may have won more titles before. And the 04 Pistons squad even made a diehard Wade fan, at the time, root for them. I was torn in the battles they had. I truly wanted to see them go back-to-back. What a great, scrappy squad. Them and that Warriors team were so fun. 2 groups of misfits.
Because I start walking NBA basketball when Jordan left the bulls I never even knew that Karl Malone played for the Lakers.
Nobody gave the 04 pistons a chance except for a million detroiters
as much as i love the "bad boys" dynasty, the "going to work" pistons will always have a special place in my heart
Other overlooked teams: 1978-79 SuperSonics ===== The 2011 Mavericks ==== I also believe that the 2019 Raptors will suffer a similar fate.
Agree with 1995 Rockers, 2004 Pistons, and 1989 Pistons.
Disagree with 1991-1992 Bulls because they were defending champions, had the best player in the league, and were the favorites. They are overlooked because they are the most easily overlooked of the 6 Bulls Championship teams.
Both those Piston teams were some of the best teams ever. The bad boys were oh so good at that they did. Sure they got under your skin but it was a physical and mental game back in the 80’s. The Pistons just owned their behavior and game play. The pistons could have won 4 if Bird wouldn’t have made the winning steal and basket in 86-87.
