The full clip is more detailed, with lots funny stories. But here’s the very short summary.
>**Iman Shumpert**: The best version i saw of Bron.. You remember the year when Dirk won? The next year they came back and LeBron and Wade just vowed to not shoot.. To not settle for 3s.. They just kept on attacking and attacking. That was vicious…
>I was like “Bro.. what the fuck are we supposed to do with that?? What am i gonna do with that?”
>I feel like that was the scariest Bron to deal with. He was so focused
>You remember their alley oop dunk? They caught the oop and dunked it. But right after that play.. Bron, Wade and Bosh just immediately did the fastest sprint right next to each other to get right back on defense. Just so we can’t even make the outlet pass..
>That was the scariest shit i’ve ever seen in my life.
Steam Train LeBron
Yeah, 2012 or 2013 was absolute peak LeBron. Dude was a monster.
2012-13 LeBron was the best we’ve seen from him and probably the greatest single season since ’94 Hakeem or ’96 Jordan.
* 27/8/7 on 57/41/76 shooting
* MVP (99.9% of first place votes)
* FMVP
* 5/6 Player of the Month Awards
* All NBA First Team
* All Defensive First Team
* 2nd in DPOY (should have won IMO)
* Tied for 6th most wins in regular season history (66-16)
2012 is probably the hungriest LeBron has ever been in a regular season. He had just failed spectacularly, and was coming into that season with a renewed mindset, Wade “gave him the keys” and there was no more hesitation when it came to running the team. Like Shump says he vowed to attack relentlessly and not settle for jumpshots (2.4 3FGA compared to 3.5 the year before, least of his career) and as a whole they really re-dedicated to defense and rim attack. When LeBron said “it’s about damn time” after that chip, that was the culmination of all that work and that hunger. After that first ring, of course he was hungry for more but I’m sure 2012 had to have been the most laser-focused on winning he’d ever been.
Who’s gonna find the clip of them running?
>LeBron and Wade just vowed to not shoot
And people say Ben doesn’t have a little bit of Bron in him.
Idk man 2018 Bron still gives me nightmares.
Yeh but he got saved by Ray Allen.
I wholeheartedly agree.
I remember that year. It was the lockout and I remember everyone saying how LeBron beefed up.
They played Dallas on Christmas that opening night, and as soon as I saw LeBron aggressively post up like 2 possessions in, I knew he was a man on a mission.
The Heatles were a ton of fun. A++ villains.
11/12 and 12/13 were absolutely peak defensive LeBron too
Shumpert promoting Bron more than ESPN nowadays.
