I could not care less about Jalen Carter. He is not what the Bears needed. We have a lot of holes that needed to be filled and making the trade helps us far more in the long run than selecting him with our first pick.

Who is Peter King? Doesn't seem like he knows any more than anybody else . Just repeating things he's probably heard. And talks way too slow.
Prognosticating about the Bears being "so far away" from contending for the division (or playoffs) is non sensical. Even with minimal weaponry and a putrid defense, the Bears were competitive against playoff and SB caliber teams in 2022. No team is so far and above the rest in today's league, not really. Even the Chiefs can clearly be beaten by "lesser" teams. A few teams are more stacked with all-pro level playmakers than the rest, yes. But parity, injuries, ref calls and the playoff admission rules are such that there is basically a game or 2 difference between the haves and the have-nots. Not "leaps and bounds" differences in talent. It's a coin-flip league for who's in or out any given year. Look at the weekly betting lines for more proof of this. and look at the 2022 paper tiger Vikings. In 2023, talentwise, the Bears have the same chance of winning the North as the other teams, despite everyone crowning the Lions. Doesn't mean they will win the North, but it's not because they are so far away in talent– it'll be because parity and luck rule the day, making all the games competitive. #BearDown
Eagles had the best two lines in football last season and than got the best d lineman in the draft which is gonna be crazy for the near future. Since the bears didn’t get him I’m hoping he will be a bust somehow but that’s not gonna happen. The big reason I wanted him to be on the bears tho is cause his last name is Carter so is mines and I was born in 88 that’s his jersey number it would have been perfect for him to be a bear I would have had a custom jersey which is a jersey I would make on my own from one of them online stores but instead I could have just got it off the shelves and it could have been a real nfl jersey. That’s what my plans were gonna be but it didn’t work out that way and the bears got the second choice that I wanted so it did work out for both teams in the end.

The Bears are young and should be wildly inconsistent this year. I don't know how many games they will win but it should be a ton of fun watching all the young guys prove themselves.
I didn't like poles at first but i grew to like him but passong on carter was a big mistake it's your job to hire people that can mentor him if really needed you dont pass on a player like that you need to feel comfortable that if you bring a player on your football team staff will be prepared to handle it
