i feel like something like this gets posted every other week. he finished the season with a great postseason run and we got one of our best seasons this side of the century, why we gotta be so negative in the midst of the offseason

I honestly hate how we look at basketball nowadays.
Everyone LOVES to focus and accentuate the negative aspects of a player and never, I mean, NEVER try to look at the positive. Whether it’s benchwarmer, role-player, starter, superstar, HOF whatever…all we do is nitpick and critique day in and day out under the guise of “constructive criticism” but what about it is constructive???
The worst part is when you call out people like this, you get called a “nut-hugger” or a “dick-rider”, it’s so ass.
Why do we always have to compare EVERYTHING?
Yes, RJ had a terrible regular season, yes, Julius was trash during the playoffs…but they’re still on our team and both helped us to continue GROW from where we once were. IE, NBA Hell.
Comparison is the greatest thief of joy, but for a lot of us Knicks fans comparison is a fucking addiction.

Looking at this chart makes me think back to how badly we wanted Jaden Ivey last year. He can still be a great player, but I think many fans would have turned on him too for not meeting expectations.

this sub has to chill, we literally had our best season since the 90s and all we do is complain about our guys, not that they are without their flaws but lets stop being so negative about it please
