Kobe mean mugging his way through the Orlando finals was peak Kobe for me. Winning that one “on his own” was something he obviously wanted really badly and you could literally see it on his face the entire way through.
Beating Boston was the best feeling ever, but Orlando was my favourite champion run.

One of my fav and saddest memories of Kobe was the 2012 playoffs against the Thunder.
A lot of ppl were giving him flak for not taking over in Game 4 and letting the Thunder win late. He came out in Game 5 and put up like 40 if I’m remembering correctly. Still wasn’t enough but it was an insane performance
It’s crazy to think that was his last playoff game.

He isn’t the man, the myth, the legend. He’s the Mamba, the Mr. 81 point game, the legend. Gone too soon.

I’m a pretty serious man w/ a high stress job, but I made as my cellphone lock screen the six people who inspire me to be better: my mom, wife, Jon Stewart, Lebron, Obama, Kobe. They each provide me a w/ unique perspective that pushes me forward. When I have a challenging situation, I look at my lock screen. When I see Kobe, I see resilience and heart. His unwavering perspective that every circumstance will be overcome. Safe to say I look at his face a lot. Miss you Bean. RIP.

Mamba and company taking down Celtics was the icing on the cake for his legendary career. You couldn’t have scripted that better. Greatest Laker IMO.
