Stop with the Harden hate. He left Houston because they sucked. He left Nets because Kyrie was unreliable. Harden took a paycut to get PJ. And that’s complete trash about getting contract in the open market. Nobody can offer him a max contract that’s so disingenuous, no winning team has cap space and you know that. He’s 100% a max level player for a good team, but none of them have cap space. He’s worth the max contrac, but he’s not worth the contract plus picks plus Terrance Mann. Nobody would do that trade. If Philly wanted to keep harden they should have paid him or not traded for him. It’s like if somebody trades for Pascal and then wants him to play for 35 million for 2 years. Great job, I am a huge Harden and Sixers fan and your take is spot on. Solid hope he stays and plays well it still can happen. Fans are going to hate and it's very frustrated but keep it real and have faith.
I think it's alot worse if James Harden actually plays. I keep hearing he has to play well if he wants a contract. It's crazy to think that the guy that just requested his 3rd trade in 3 years and willing gave up 200 plus million is going to change his ways for any reason. Pushing him into a corner and saying no you have to play is going to turn this into his most toxic season. I actually side with Harden on this trade request if he was lied to by Daryl. I wouldn't play well just to spite Daryl, I'm not going to let him lie to me and then get his way by me playing my heart out. That's just how I look at it.

james harden played at an all-nba level last year, sixers front office was listening to stephen a smith too much. Harden was a top 15 player last year, and he was defintely better than fred van vleet so if im harden i can sort of see were he is coming from

Do people think it is a coincidence that at this very moment Harden is partying it up in China, a country that adores him, detests Morey and has Yao Ming as the CBA President? He’s sending a message to Morey: if you don’t trade me for peanuts or buy me out on 95 cents to the dollar, I got more good options than you in this stalemate if I decide to chase the money. The Chinese won’t care if I play terrible this season and tank it for the Sixers, that will just make me more popular in China.

You think they wouldn’t throw him $50m a year for a couple of months of work no matter how fat he got? It’s happened in golf, it’s happened in soccer, and it’s going to happen in basketball sooner rather than later. I believe with better coaching Tobias Harris will be as productive as Aaron Gordon was for the Nuggets. Did anyone care when the Nuggets traded for Aaron Gordon 3 years ago? Nope. However, Michael Malone was able to figure out a way to make Aaron Gordon's skill set put Denver over the top. Hopefully, Nick nurse can do the same for Tobias. Like Denver and Miami, it is not how you start the year it is how you finish. Hopefully (wish full thinking) the 76ers will get out of this mess unscathed.
