A recent report from Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed some extremely interesting information about the possible Pascal Siakam trade to the Atlanta Hawks as we learned of the D’Andre Hunter, AJ Griffin and draft compensation offer that was presented to the Toronto Raptors but was ultimately rejected. It was the first time that we really got inside information regarding the Spicy P trade talks but it still did not really indicate the possibility of Siakam not only staying with the Raptors but staying long-term.
That all changed on the morning of August 14th as a lesser-known NBA source on Twitter revealed some shocking information about the saga. If you have been following the events, the assumption is that Siakam is going to try his hand at making an All-NBA appearance this season which would render him super max eligible and therefore would make the star forward a free agent in 2024 but this could be about to change..
