  1. To Joe and other ignorant Americans who believe sports are only played in the U.S. This is a natural evolution and will happen in all the major sports leagues outside of the NFL, which does not play enough games. Two things: Creates excitement with extra trophy, bragging rights and money; secondly all these games are sold as premium tickets over and above the regular season ticket prices – that's why the owners want it and that also comes with higher advertising rates for these tournament games.
    Now you know.

  2. Yea I just wonder how they are going to do the games to make sure teams still get to see they favorite teams when they come to there city. I wonder if you play a team twice in the tournament will that be the only games they play against each other.

  3. As someone from Ireland, I have grown up supporting football(soccer) since I was a kid. This for me isn’t even about battling against the nfl. Joe sports are played and watched all over the world….not just in America. A big reason I feel like the nba are introducing this in season tournament is due to the fact basketball in Europe is growing at an extraordinary rate, and we all grew up watching the champions league or Europe league(In season football tournaments). It is to increase watchability for all parties involved. I’m sure Americans will love it. Creates a nice atmosphere outside of the long dragged out regular season

  4. Adding interest and possible extra monetary value to early regular season games is pretty cool. Average fans LOVE tournaments. Hard core fans could care less. I have season pass. I watch most games regardless. I'm not against this idea though.

  5. The past two seasons the NBA has generated $10 billion dollars in revenue. Soon the NBA will sign a new television/digital media rights deal which will add even more revenue. As far as social media views the NBA far surpasses the NFL. The only reason the NFL is hyped so much in the anti-FBA/black media is because the faces of the NFL continue to be white quarterbacks like Joe Burrow and Josh Allen.
