If Cronin just traded Dame to Miami for trash pieces for no other reason than to "make Dame happy" then you guys would come on stream for 82 games and complain about how Cronin is terrible at trades and that he got nothing for a future hall of fame player lol. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't talk about how good Cronin was for doing right by Dame and praise him as a good GM for that.

Supermax Dame’s the product of an underperforming starting lineup that the cheapskate ownership doesn’t deserve, they only want to use Dame to fool fans into filling seats and purchase merchandise. That’s why I’ve been pro-trade since they dismantled the 2018 WCF team to get under the cap. I see the youngsters as the assets to attract a new owner hopefully within a few years.
