If they want to make the in-season tourney really worth something to the players, make winning it give playoff seed weighting. Maybe you have 2 less wins than the 3 seed but you won the in season so you get that 3 seed. Or you wouldn't make the play-in but you have some advantage from finishing well in the tourney. Make it mean something for the road to a championship and people will care
I think JA was saying the lights were too bright for him, but most importantly, JB too. He is some suggestions to help JB with this roster.
On offense: using our bigs as passers & and having them post scorers as well as setting picks. Play with more pace to get early mismatches for our bigs early in the possession. Have Spidaland along with Caris & Ty play more off ball. Allow Evan, JA, & Ice when on the floor 2 b r Dray, Sabonis, & Iggy of r offense. Ice off the bench, will only play with 1 starting big at a time n this rotation.
And on defense: Also, play more 3-2 zone DEF with both Evan & JA on the back end. Evan's individual defense is Hall of Fame level, but we need him along with JA 2 average double-digit Rebs 4 this rotation 2 work. Less switching & leaving JA alone 2 rebound against 3 opponents @ once has 2 stop.

The bigs play more minutes because the rebounding is needed for this rotation to work.
We don't need another guard. Rubio was out of the rotation before news broke about him taking a break from the game. We need to sign another wing scorer or another wing defender. So either Terence Davis or Stanley Johnson.
