I’m not down because if we get 2 good players (don’t have to be great just solid and good) for James, then our team is somehow still stacked. This is almost all due to Maxeys development but a “big 3” of Joel, Tobias, and Maxey is actually much more appropriate for Joel. We just need Maxey to develop a bit as a ball handler and passer and it’s a great big 3 honestly and is well rounded. So if we stack up on good players so we are like 8 deep of actually good players, it’s ideal for Joel. I used to think we need stars but Joel is such a dominant force you just need lots of people without an ego to play around the man. Maxey and Tobias fit the bill as long as the rest are good. You don’t need more stars when you have Embiid with monster usage and want Maxey to have a bigger role and need Tobias to get action cuz that’s when he is involved and plays better. We need fucking movement and passing and defense. Enough star power already to win a chip.
