The New York Knicks have been associated with a number of trades talks that have taken place this offseason, but no trade has been made yet. However, another great aspect for trades is to understand what teams are comfortable with giving away in potential deals. But just as important is who the Knicks elect to not include in trade talks. Thanks to a recent report from The Athletic, we now know that two key pieces on the Knicks current roster were not included in trade talks by New York. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

For big trade, I would trade Julius Randle and Evan Fournier for Zion Williamson. Now I know this is a risk however, in Williamsons deal, he has to maintain a certain weight!
Also, I would not trade Quinton Grimes, or Jericho Sims, or Miles McBride Because they are very talented players on such minimum contracts.
The Knicks front office is ass backwards. They moved Obi Toppin, who was a rotation player, for less value but won't trade "situational players" for the sake of a trade

IMO if they trade Sims they are being foolish. I think he has great potential. Then again, the FO knows more about basketball than I do and nothing is going to get in the way of business. When Mitch was out Sims started 22 games, Hart 2 . Didn't Sims play PF in college in Texas and keep a 3.5 grade average? He is a smart young man. I think he will do well no matter what his future is in Bball.
The Knicks really just want to sign their superstar outright. Knicks have gotten a little crafty. They want it to look like they want to trade but they want to wait for Mitchell.😊
