GOAT mentality. You can move him around the Mt Rushmore and have cases for maybe Kareem or Bron overall but when it comes to mentality that belongs to His Airness

I’m pretty sure the last time someone posted a reference to this some receipts said otherwise.

Was this aimed at Lebron? King James taking some shots here.

The real GOAT no question although I dont believe this since the BUlls casually traded for the players that “locked” up Jordan the year before (Harper, Rodman)

A lot of people take this sort of talk too literally. Yes Jordan is a human, of course he had his opinions and for sure Bulls were still trying to build a roster, the point is that with Jordan you didn’t need to care that much about other things, because he and people around him were confident that they have the winning card already.

We’re good on the MJ propaganda, thanks.

When Krause said Jordan never asked him to trade for or draft a player, my first thought was “thank God”

I’m so fucking tired of the obsession over like 3 players in nba history non stop like a cosmic circle jerk. They are GOATs yes. But how much do we need to discuss them. How many times must we memorialize MJ? Are there no other stories to cover in the history of this sport?

There is so much propaganda around Jordan and Lebron. There plenty of players as competitive as he was. There were plenty of players who had his drive. He was just athletically gifted and was able to score more points by slashing and quick turnarounds. He even used his gifts sometime to make good team defensive plays. He was not a good 1 on 1 defender he got regularly cooked by the 80s and 90s all-stars.
It was Pippen who had to pick up the slack on defense and passing and screen setting and off ball movement and rebounding. And once Jordan had someone willing to do the little things that he did not do because he was so focused on his points…. they finally started to win in the playoffs.

Remember the game that Jordan scored 63 points on the Celtics, set the single scoring record for playoff games?
Well in Game 1 he had just got smoked by the Celtics clearly superior team play. And what did MJ say to the press before Game 2? That he had to play more team ball, and that he alone couldnt beat the Celtics.
So what did Jordan do? Went out and took every single shot and scored 63 points in a loss.
Jordan took a long time to learn how to play basketball as a team sport.

No one else has the unrelenting drive to retire twice like MJ did

Jordan didn’t need to ask he got everything he needed. Would’ve been different if the team wasn’t as good.

He never demanded they draft certain players, but he didn’t trust guys Krause drafted and bragged about. Paxson, King, Jason Caffey, Scott Burrel and of course Kukoc. I think it was Byron Houston that he really hated. Now some of the guys he ended up liking/respecting like Paxson and Burrel and Kukoc after the olympics.
He always hated Dan Majerle because Krause always praised him. One time screaming, “FUCK YOU DAN” after an and 1 and Majerle was like, “the fuck I ever do to you?”

and they were fortunate he wasn’t else their championship won’t be 6-0. look how bad MJ managed a team or drafted players.
