Pascal turned a page these past two seasons and is a bonafide superstar. Period. I state this a person who dug into him (as a disappointed fan) during the bubble and the first half of the next season for not playing like he should be for the money he was making as top dog. NOW, he's earned every penny of it PLUS the $300+ million being teed up.
I don't see how he doesn't deserve a super max contract. He's oone of the best #2 options of all time and he just averaged 24/8/6 with poor spacing.

"dont give pascal the bag" bro who else is gonna get it? scottie has no all nba teams lmao. and if pascal does earn another all nba team, at that point he very much deserves however much he wants. it means the team finished the season strong and pascal put up great numbers leading the team to a strong season. if that happens, yeah he definitely deserves the money. its not scotties 15 ppg that kept us .500 last season.
Scottie gotta take that leap this season. He doesn’t have to be better than Pascal, but he has to be a lot better than the last two years.
im all for it. this myth going around that pascal is somehow blocking scotties growth as a player despite the fact pascal and scottie are versatile positionally. everybody slots them both as PF when you know damn well pascal can play at least 4 positions. point guard/forward, small forward, power forward, center. and scottie can play PG, PF, SF, weve seen him play SG. this idea that one or the other is getting in the way of eachother is nonsense. all contenders have at least 2 star caliber guys. you let siakam walk or you trade him, the raps put themselves in a position where they now have to find another star to put beside scottie. make it make sense.

Pascal is gonna have his best year, there is a reason why Darko brought in his guy Schroeder, he's not a selfish player and he's not about the money. he's about team.

#1 PF in the league in terms of availability and skill. He deserves the money. Only guy I would consider better is AD IF he played his preferred position as PF AND if he ever plays 70 games, which will never happen as long as he's a Laker. Giannis is a one dimensional PF due to athleticism only (although super dominant at that one dimension). Siakam is the #1 PF IN THE LEAGUE.
Siakam is going to be a great leader for us, now that we have a head coach who isn't going to just throw everyone else under the bus when things go wrong the chemistry will have a chance to properly exist, and when you got your proper chemistry it just makes everything better, communication on defense, limiting turnovers,better shot selection/better overall flow to the offense and overall you will just see a better effort from the team as a whole, where as Siakam is that type of forward that can give you a little bit of everything he will be a great example for scottie and og's development for easily the next few years, pay this man.
