Top 25 Players in the NBA: Why Steph Curry is UNSTOPPABLE in the Warriors offense | Hoops Tonight

Jason Timpf continues his ranking of the top 25 players in the NBA with No. 2, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. Steph is undoubtedly the best shooter in NBA history, but it’s more than just his shooting ability that makes him the second best player in the NBA. No matter what the defense throws at him, Steph continues to find ways to either score, or get teammates Klay Thompson and Draymond Green open looks.

Timeline:
00:00 – Introduction
01:50 – Steph Curry and Nikola Jokic are in their own tier

  1. 2024’s regret: Not including Ja on the list at all. Just imagine if Memphis won it all this upcoming season. The switch-up’s will be legendary.

  2. Unless it's a clutch shot. We know steph somehow loses that hand eye ability on game winning shots. I

  3. If you watched Underrated, Curry entire game is just like Jokic and should be #1. He had 2 games outta 6 games against the Lakers with +12 assists while dropping at least 20 points. He doesn't make himself the first scoring option, just like he did when they went to the Elite Eight in his final year of the NCAA tournament. His game has never changed, just gotten better. 4 rings is still better than 1.

  4. #2 is good spot. I wished you would’ve had him #1 last year when he won the title and FMVP. Glad you admitted the blunder of it, but with jokic winning it all, he deserves the number 1 spot and curry gets #2

  5. Jason, you're not a Lakers fan, you're a LeBron fan and you could be better being a Steph fan 🤣I love the Warriors, and watching Steph on the court is unique, he's from another level, from a different planet, all that he has done is insane, there's part of the media especially retired players that work as broadcasters that have envy and jealousy for Steph and the Warrior and the fact that you talk this way and highlight what Steph does tell a lot of you that's why I love your show, thank you.

  6. Vanderbilt kept Curry off the perimeter through the whole series before the coach sat the Laker down because he couldn't score. Curry is great but he's not unstoppable. Many other instances where he was shut down over the years. Look it up.

  7. The warriors have to play that way in order to get Steph and Klay open. Im not mad its good basketball imo. I think I saw a graphic that showed they run the most miles during games so good cardio too.

  8. "Nobody better in all of sports than Curry at precise body movements and muscle memory." This guy named Messi exists (although Steph might be my favorite athlete of all time). 😀 Good analysis though Jason.

  9. Jason is incorrectly remembering his thoughts on Steph that down regular season. Before the playoffs he was saying that steph was clearly on the decline from his previous self

  10. Ranking a not 2-way player as #2 in the entire league is wild. He just got easily beaten in WCF semis too. Maybe top-10 but no.2? Come on

  11. You shouldn't regret not putting him at #1 last season. The regular season gets disrespected enough as it is, players shouldn't get named the best player just for playoff runs.
    Not in top 3 MVP
    Not first team all-NBA
Just 2 Western Conference player of the week awards, both early on in the season.
Just 1 Western Conference player of the month award, again at the start of the season.
