If Green wanted $17M a year I would rather get PJ Washington a better all around player and a dog out there who will take tough assignment coach gave him. A better 3rd option than green.
Trade THJ and 1st for PJ
Then lets get our best PoA defender back, DFS. A better PoA defender than Green and can even switch to bigs. Now we have PJ, Grant and Dorian, all versatile defender. And our wings are bigger, stronger with a lot more length and all of them can even play small ball 5. You can just play all 3 of them with Luka and Ky. The 3 can switch all they want on the defensive end to take away opponents play and force them to go 1-on-1.
We can have Dorian and Dayron Sharpe for Green and Holmes.
Dayron Sharpe will be our slow ass traditional big. He is a shot blocker and a rebounding machine.
I am high on Josh. Can he be our 3rd best player? Potentially yes because it all comes down to his confidence. He's slowly becoming a damn good shooter that can attack the rim, and flashed having a middy so he flashed being a capable 3lvl scorer. I think his defense and playmaking is underrated. So all of that makes me agree that Josh's potential is higher than Banes because Josh is skillfully balanced and has better physical tools at his disposal compared to Bane
Josh Greens at 22 Years old 60GP, 21 Starts, 25.7mpg, 9.1p, 3r, 1.7a with 54/40/72 splits Jimmy Butler at 23 Years old 82GP, 21 starts, 26mpg, 8.6p, 4r, 1.4a with 47/38/80 splits Green could still be great.
To say it bluntly… whoever thinks a 22 years old talent, that got better and better each and every year up to now, has already reached his peak, is plain stupid!
