The Spurs improve to 20-58 on the season, while the Kings fall to 47-31.

The Spurs aren't getting the first pick. The NBA wants to keep the Spurs on the lottery for many years, then trade their good assets to other teams. The Spurs have become a developmental franchise for players. The Spurs will continue to bend over for the league like the good prostitute organization that it is.

Of course the objective is to win the championship every year. For the Kings, just gaining a post season berth is the objective after over a decade of ineptitude. It's hard to win anything of note when a team's best player just doesn't play with any kind of edge or intensity. Fox is a great player and seems to be a good guy off the court but Im not sure he is the killer needed to lead a team deep in the playoffs.
